The Snubbull wasn't sure, but she guessed it was the Vulpix, or else some other stupid thing trying to hurt her anyway. She charged at the Vulpix with a tackle. She grit her teeth a little at the fact as she hoped the fox pokemon would manage to keep out of harms way on this one. She rather disliked the idea of her pokemon being harmed too drasticly after all. However she was also aware that sometimes it couldn't be helped. She'd have to just hope that with the distance already between then and the Vulpix's speed that she'd keep from taking too much of a hit. However the Vulpix in its sitting position had been unable to get away from the charging snubbull and she took the hit straight on with a yelp. However falling back from the hit didn't stop the Vulpix from taking advantage of the close range. Quickly she summoned up a flame of an Ember attack on the opposing pokemon and followed it up as quickly as she could with another Extrasensory attack, she put as much focus and effort as she could into the psychic attack again. Now she was even more determined to take down the Snubbull, she wasn't going to go down easy! No she was going to be like her trainer and be sure to put up a fight! "Get out of there Laura! Put some distance!" The Vulpix obeyed and made an attempt to wiggle itself free and dart off from the opposing pokemon while it was dealing with the results of her attacks. Vulpix Laura was hit. Vulpix Laura used Ember. Vulpix Laura used Extrasensory.

Soon after, she was being assaulted by fire and yet another splitting headache. But through the haze of pain, she lashed out with her jaws before Laura could back away, her teeth cackling with electricity. She was getting tired, that was for sure, and the headache was doing no good either. Female Snubbull was hit! Female Snubbull was confused! Female Snubbull used Thunder Fang!

Maiya didn't realize her hand sneaking up to her mouth and her teeth wrapping around the knuckle as she watched the battle until it was a little too late. However she ignored the already numbing pain from the bite in favor or dealing with the battle. That thunder fang was no good, she could tell from the yelp her little fox gave off in response she wasn't going to last much longer. No maybe one more hit if Maiya was lucky and she rarely was but that wasn't going to stop her. If the fox pokemon could hold out just a little bit longer, all she needed was to at the very least win this fight against the Snubbull. Just this and then she'd switch out. A quick glance at the sky had told her that it was far enough into the evening that her lunatone would be satisfied with surfacing and playing a bit too. She hoped to get a little bit of experience to the both of them by the end of the night. "Laura, extrasensory! Double it!" Maiya called out to her pokemon sounding a little agitated. Weird, normal her tone stayed cold with calm in these situations. Maybe it was just the fact that it was Laura she was battling with for the moment. The pokemon had been with her from the egg and Maiya had lost her mother shortly after she was hatched too. She'd been so close to the Ninetales that the little Vulpix had been born to, she was what was left behind. Something about the idea of her being too hurt now churned her stomach a little. The Vulpix was certainly starting to feel the hits take their toll but she wasn't going to give up a win if her trainer wasn't going to either. As her trainer commanded the pokemon prepared her first attack before dropping her head to meet her opponents. She released the first attack focusing on the Snubbull as best she could before following it quickly with a second wave of the attack. The thunder fang may have hurt on top of the other hits but she sure wasn't going down without a fight. Vulpix Laura was hit. Vulpix Laura used Extrasensory x2.

Funny how things were, the longer the attack went on, the less pain she felt. It only a took a while before er legs gave way and she fell to the ground with a flump, eyes closed. The Vulpix gave a small grin of triumph as the other fell in defeat, she knew she could be victorious! This play had been more fun and tiring than she expected though. Now she was feeling a little tired and the pain from the attacks she had taken earlier was setting in further. She was ready to be done for the day, it was certainly nap time. Looking over he shoulder at her trainer the fox pokemon gave a small tired yip to her trainer before falling back on her bum. With a quiet grumble she slid to her side and sprawled out to rest. Nap time, the pokemon would enjoy a good rest now. It had gotten a lot dimmer out anyway and it wasn't really her turn to be out and about anymore. Time for her teammate to play instead. Maiya grinned as her pokemon gained a victory under her belt and retrieved the Vulpix's pokeball and returned her. The little one could sleep the battle off now while she let the other one out. Looking up at the sky again she deemed it was indeed dark enough. Not quite dead of night as he, at least she saw the pokemon as a he, liked best. It would do though and she was certain when she replaced her Vulpix's pokeball and found that the Lunatone was wiggling about happily in his. He could feel the growing night and wanted more than anything to be let out. First however she would make the decision on this Snubbull. One of the moves it had used was certainly of interest but it wasn't high enough on the interest list for her to use up a pokeball on it. With that decided she walked over and gave the pokemon a quick pat. "You tried hun, got a good hit in even." She complimented it before moving on. Returning her hand to the pocket with her pokeballs she fiddled with them a moment before retrieving the one that had insisted upon wiggling still. He was being rather impatient tonight. Without further hesitation she released the Lunatone for his turn to roam with her. Appearing in front of her the pokeomon wiggled happily. "Luuuun~" the pokemon chimed happy to be out in the moonlit night. Even better was it found that the little fox that, though it did in a way adore, found to be rather annoying with all her play talk wasn't out tonight. Just him then for this walk, he was more than pleased by this. Maiya chuckled at the pokemon as he gave yet another happy wiggle. Snubbull was not acquired. Laura returned to her pokeball.
