i like my fire and ground types, but i'll dabble with any. i can't say i've trained much with bug or grass pokémon, though.
yes, psychic types are very powerful allies and challenging foes. i hope to find and hopefully capture a mew, but i believe i would also be very happy to train up a young abra.
we'll need to have a battle some day, mort. i'd love to pit my pokémon's skills against your's.[/style]

a challenge for the mew offspring? hardly. i know my limits.

yes, it certainly proves its worth when you find your first option is suddenly overpowered by the circumstance of an opponent's type. although i encourage my pokémon to practice in conditions harsh for them and against opponents that naturally have the upper hand, i cannot say i could ever go out of my way to put them in harm's way.
yes, you're right. capture a pokémon, send them to a pc and forget about them for months? at that point they're still sore about being kidnapped! they won't fight for you willingly. in fact, some may not fight at all. [/style]
