[Nix Night]

Nix walked along with her hands deep in the pockets of her combats and the wind brushing through her hair and blowing it over her sholders and the mud smelling really not so nice but that just made the walking all the more fun for her. she jumped as she heard her partner mutter something small and lean forwards on her sholder and drop forwards , she reached both her arms out and caught him as he feel and then looked down at him, why?" she asked. Phantom had actually begun to get a little annoyed as his partners long and messy red hair had kept burshing in to his face and so just to tell nix that clearly, he smiled before opening his mouth, "raaa,lt". 

Nix turned her head as she heard something move behind her and then she spotted a shape in the trees and she smiled and raised a gloved hand and waved it around a little and a deerling came trotting out of the trees and ran over to nix's side and bumped it's head against her hip. Nix laughed and then lowered one hand away from cradling phantom and stroked the deerlings head and it gave a small murmur and then bumped against her hand, phantom by now was feeling bored so he gave another cry and clapped his hands together. Nix rolled her eyes and then shifted him in her grip and then slowed down so she was walking behind the deerling and she dropped phantom on his back, phantom laughed and then grabbed on the the deerlings fur and nix laughed as the deerling flicked it's tail ,"come on tain, be a sport" she laughed and the deerling rolled his eyes as phantom laughed again.

[atrb=style, border-left: 31px solid #ffffff; border-right: 25px solid #ffffff;] Maiya stretched as she walked, a grin on her face though fake was rather convincing, as far as all others would know the girl was in a very good mood. Arms above her head she found herself yawning, so odd she was rarely ever tired. Oh well there was no helping it right now. Her thoughts were broke by the familiar cry of her little pokemon. The Vulpix walking in front of her seemed to simply be chattering away. "Vul, vul vulpix!" The chatter continued on and on from the little thing, she just couldn't keep quiet. It all roughly translated to something along the lines of the trees being pretty, the route being cool to see and the little thing wanting to find someone to play with. "Oh is that so Laura?" Maiya chatter back to her pokemon though she had no idea what the Vulpix had been saying. She had a feeling it was something about play and what seemed to be a lack of an attention span in the pokemon anyway. She'd just go along with rather than try and understand or fight whatever Laura was going on about anyway. Maiya folded her arms behind her head as she walked, she was sure to keep an eye on the little fox pokemon seeing as she had a habit of running off. As if she could read her trainers mind the pokemon darted off in some direction as something caught her attention. It was a combinations of smells and sight in the distance that had caught her small attention span. Paying no attention to where exactly she was dashing to the Vulpix ran head first into the back of Nix's legs not even realizing a human had happened to be there until the collision had occurred. Maiya was of course close behind her with a sigh. "Laura! How many times do I have to tell you not to run off like that? Eio ata!" Maiya came to a stop a few feet behind the other girl and pointed to the space in between her feet. Shaking her head the Vulpix walked over to the spot her trainer had indicated and sat, though she did pout about it. The pokemon wanted to investigate the other ones but it would seem she would have to wait a short while first. "Sorry about her, Laura here doesn't seem to understand how to not run into people." She said with an apologetic tone to the other girl whom she hoped hadn't been too disturbed by the collision of her Vulpix.

Nix felt a sharp impact on the back of her legs and she turned round to see a small vulpix behind her, she smiled to herself and bent down on her knees as a trainer came running up the path and called the foxy pokemon back to her. Nix smiled again and shook her head. "dont worry about it, my boys can be the same" she said and as if my magic, tain turned round and walked back to his trainers side. He bumped his head again her hip and nix rolled her eyes and looked down at him and then raised an eyebrown, "deerli,llingg, deeerlllliiin" he said to her and then nodded his head towards the new trainer and her pokemon and nix lifted her hands and rested them on her hips and tilted her head to one side. "if i knew that, you know i would have told you, ask yourself" she said with a laugh, " and before you ask, no tommy, let the lady decide" she said and then lowered a hand to tap phantoms head. Phantom shook his head and then stood up slowly on his partners back and walked up a little so he was standing behind his neck when he clapped his hands and tain suddenly froze dead still

The little pokemon muttered and then climbed up the back of tains head and sat down between his ears and raised a hand and pointed to the trainer, and then to her pokemon, and then to the trees, "raaaaallltss,raalt" he said in a some what polite voice and nix smiled. "much better" she said and then tapped his head again as he corssed his arms. "you see, having a pair of boys is so much hard work" she said and smiled in the new girls direction. Tain relxaed himself a little and then looked at the little vulpix and phantom gave a yelp as his seat moved forwards, nix laughed quickly as tain leveled his head out and then phantom proceeded to have a small and loud rant at his freind below him

[atrb=style, border-left: 31px solid #ffffff; border-right: 25px solid #ffffff;] The Vulpix tilted its head to the side in the slightest of ways as it watched the other pokemon, it was observing something it had learned to do from its trainer. Though it did have to chuckle a little at the pokemon before it and their ways of acting. It was interesting to say the least the little pokemon thought to herself from her seat at her trainers feet. They seemed like the sort that just might make for fun play too which was always something Laura was on the look out for. "Vulpix?" The little pokemon mused more to herself than anything. A simple question of what exactly the other pokemon were doing. "Oh is that so?" Maiya asked of the other girl with a gentle smile. She herself only had one male pokemon and another that was genderless, she wasn't quite sure how she had managed to make of with a girl filled team though she herself wouldn't complain. "Well girls aren't much better. The ones I've got following me around seem to like nothing more than getting into trouble, isn't that right Laura?" Picking the Vulpix up by her middle Maiya smiled at the pokemon before setting her back down after being given a yip of reply from the pokemon. Laura never had been too terribly fond of being held unless she was sleepy after all, the fox would have much rather been running around. "Vulpiiix!" The pokemon whined again about wanting to play. Really what did it take to get a little play time in around here? It was too much effort trying to convey the message sometimes. Instead the pokemon chose to once again stare at the other pokemon waiting for the chance to play. "Really hope we didn't wind up intruding on your walk or anything." Maiya scratched the back of her neck in fake nervousness and gave the other girl a slightly awkward smile. She thought to herself to just keep up the act a little longer, that she could do it. She didn't feel like starting potential conflict at the moment so the act was a needed defense against, she was just hoping the other girl wouldn't suddenly turn hostile.

Nix shrugged her shoulders and then tipped her head to one side ,"nah, these two have been nagging at me all day to find them a battle from a wild pokemon and Tain is getting too old to carry tommy it seems too" nix said with a laugh before she gently bent over tains head and picked up phantom before placing him gently on the ground and giving him a small but friendly nudge ,"go and ask" she said in a small and low voice and he looked at her before nodding his head to himself. He wobbled over to the other trainer as nix rested her hand on tains head ,when he was a arm reach away he stopped and sat down and then clapped his head together

"raaaaalltss,aatlllss?" he asked with a wide smile before pointing a hand the vulpix sitting down again and then he clapped his hands together again and laughed, nix smiled at her partners actions, he was learning to be polite now it seemed. Nix ran her hand down Tains head and then held out a her other hand to the other girl ,"if he's being polite and friendly then I should too ,my name is nix ,nix night. If you know my second name then drop it and leave it dead and if you don't, well then all the better" she said with a smile before Tain gave a small snicker of laughter beside her. "they boy beside me is Tain, level 5 deerling and the little guy down there is phantom or tommy, level 5 ralts" she said and Tain gave a small cry of greeting at his voice and phantom waved a small hand at nix to tell her to ssshhhh and then he clapped his hands again, "and tommy wants to know if be and your vulpix may play" nix informed the girl and then phantom turned his and rolled his eyes at his trainer

[atrb=style, border-left: 31px solid #ffffff; border-right: 25px solid #ffffff;] A small spark of delight crept over the Vulpix's face as she was asked to play, but of course as much as she wanted to the answer ultimately was not up to her but rather her trainer. She rather adored the idea of playing around with the other pokemon a little and was more than happy to do so if only she could acquire the permission. Looking up from her spot she gave a quick yelp to her trainer her knew exactly what that meant after all the time they had spent together. Maiya held up a single finger to her pokemon a sign the little fox knew to mean she had to wait a moment before she would get an answer. Though the pokemon huffed at having to wait longer Maiya carried on with the little talk she and the other girl, Nix happened to be exchanging. Reaching out and giving the offered hand a firm shake Maiya smiled and introduced herself. "Name's Maiya, Maiya Thompson. You'd be better off dropping the subject of my name too so I suppose we can come to a mutual understanding on that one eh?" She said though she knew chances were this girl would not recognize her name. Unless she had been involved in the gangs she had seen back in Hoenn the girl wouldn't know, and she didn't seem the type so far to get into that kind of thing. It really was for the better though, nothing good followed her name anymore. "This here is Laura my Vulpix, I'd introduce the others but Luther is still sleeping this time of day, Gunther gets skittish and Blath should be napping right about now. Maybe later or another time." "As for you two," Maiya said as she looked down at the two pokemon before her that seemed eager to become playmates for the day with a sweet smile. She gave a quick nod of confirmation to the Raltz. She chuckled as the Vulpix jumped to her feet and gave a quick, sharp excited howl in celebration of the confirmation that play was alright. She wiggled where she stood looking at the other pokemon and waiting for the play to start, she was already looking forward to it. Maiya grinned at her own pokemon's antics before slipping out her pokedex to acquire the entry on the pokemon her opponent had. She already recognized both and the Ralts was a species of interest to her, she looked forward to seeing how one might fare in battle before actually acquiring it for herself. She shut the pokedex and cut off its little speech about each pokemon before it could finish and took a couple steps back from the two pokemon. "Shall we then?"

Nix smiled and then nudged her partner forwards a little more and he stumbled forwards on to his hands and knees and then pushed up on his hands and then ran forwards with his head still down a little and bumped his horn against the fox poem on before standing up straight and running to one side and laughing quietly as he moved and then he looked back over his sholder and then clapped his hands together and came to a slow stop and then turned back to the fox pokemon and smiled.

Nix grinned as she felt Tain shake his head and then he bumped it up against her hand and nix smiled and then nodded her head in the other girls direction ,"family issues yourself then?" she asked with a smile and then she ran her finger over her arm. Her fingertips brushed the scar from her time with a rather over enthusiastic chimchar, her fingers brushed further up her arm and came to a stop over a long and deep scar from one of the beatings from her father ,"I won't ask if you don't ask about me" she said with a smile before she took a few steps up and past the other girl. "wanna come for a walk?" she asked with a smile before she tapped her hand to her side and Tain trotted over to her and bumped his head against her again

She found herself shaking her head to ward off the slight funny feeling of the bumps before looking back at the other pokemon with a grin. Scrunching up her nose a moment the pokemon darted towards the other before flying into a playful pounce and attempted to land softly on the Raltz. Giving off a playful mock roar that was cuter than it was menacing the Vulpix tried to hug the pokemon playfully wrapping her paws around the Raltz with a squeak of excitement. "Aha well there's a little of that in there yeah." Maiya said with a nervous smile as a flash of the memories, the ones that her memory caused her to see clear as though they had just happened even all these years later, zoomed through her mind's eye for a moment. All the things that had been said by her wretch of a mother, all of the nothingness she had grown up with, not the less than nothingness, being made into a lifeless puppet a walking void. She saw those nights of old where her mother would chuck the glass at her just before dragging her to the bathroom so she could nearly drown her again and again before locking her up or outside for the night, soaking wet and cold and how if she moved she had to go through it all again. Maiya hadn't even noticed she had started to hold her breath but just as quickly as the memories cam her mind threw them aside. She breathed as though her breath hadn't been caught to begin with and then continued on with the conversation. To anyone outside of herself it would have seemed as though she paused a moment to think something over. "I can agree to that, no questions asked." Maiya watched the other girl for a moment before letting her eyes wander to the two playing pokemon and for a moment she found herself thinking about the past but only for a moment. They were not the sort of thoughts for her to be thinking over for the time being, they were the sort of thing for when she was alone with nothing else think about not right now. No not right now. "Sure, might as well I suppose." She said in answer to the girl's question about going for a walk. She didn't see why not at all, she could use a little bit of a distraction anyways. She turned on her heel and went to follow after the girl glancing over her shoulder and back at the pokemon a moment first, she knew Laura would follow after her before long. The little fox always did.

Nix smiled as phantom received sort of attack hug and nix shook her head and then Tain gave a small bark of laughter as the fox and physic pokemon fell over and bumped heads and fell away from each other, nix tapped her fingers on his head to tell him to be queit and let the younger pokemon play and he bumped his head against her side again. Tain was actually the newer member to her team but phantom was a ralts currently and so acted more Like a child, he was actually a level seven conparted to gains level five but Tain had always been the on to act the older age.

Nix smiled as the other trainer agreed to walk with her and she dropped her finger back down her arm and away from the scar from her father, her fingers brushed the burn Mark again and she smiled tinherself and then stroked Tains head again. She was the mind if trainer to get in the way of a stray attack and save her team should they need her, and even when they some times didn't ,shaking her head she focused on the the other girl again and slid her hands in to the deep pockets of her black combats. "mind if I ask where your from? Or is that being nosy?" she asked with a light tone of voice and a small smile in her face, "I also have to say I love your hair, I mean mine is always messy like this and I do like it by some days I would just kill to have it more like yours "

Laura nudged his side with her snout before going to tackle him again playfully. However mid tackle she realized that the two trainers were wondering away from them and though she didn't mind the occasional walk alone from Maiya she had never been fond of the idea of Maiya leaving her behind. Without a hesitation the little fox pokemon darted away from her target and went for her trainers heels. Halfway there however she skidded to a stop and turned to her playmate with a yelp and a nod to attempt and indicate for him to follow too. They wouldn't want to be left behind with they? She wiggled impatiently as she waited for the other pokemon. "Nah it's not nosy really. I was born in Hoenn, Lavender Town but wound up in Fortree Hoenn a while ago though, How about you?" Maiya said in response to Nix before glancing over her shoulder to the playing pokemon. As she had expected the little fox had begun to follow. Satisfied that the pokemon would not be left behind she focused her attention on the girl again and their little chatter. "Thank you." Maiya said with a smile at the girl's comment about her hair. Of all Maiya's features her hair was probably the only one she was really fond of. She adored her hair to bits and pieces and did whatever she had to to keep it well kept. This including the occasional extra brushing during the day to keep it from knotting up too bad. "I rather like the color of your's, it's so bright. I'm sure with a little upkeep you could get it looking real nice. Doesn't take much really. Maybe a couple extra brushings." She said with a smile in an attempt to not seem like the comment had gone to her head as well as that she didn't think herself somehow better for earning the comment. She had dealt with people trying to call her out on that sort of thinking despite her thinking just the opposite before. It seemed like one had to tiptoe around things half the time anymore in order to avoid offending people. She didn't feel like dealing with that today so she'd play nice. A compliment for a compliment and a touch of advice.

Nix laughed quietly and then tapped her fingers on tains head ,"ever consider I like it being messy?" she asked with a snigger before shaking her head and letting her hair drop over her shoulders. "girls normally don't like or allow themselves to have messy hair and I like that, I'm a odd ball by all my traits and having messy hair is one if them I love, no one else will ever try it you see, so I'll be one of a kind" nix explained with a smirk before hearing something behind her. She turned on her heel to see phantom running towards her with his arms apart, nix rolled her eyes and stopped walking and bent down as the little physic type ran in her her arms and hugged her and she whispered softly to him and he clutched at her t-shirt ,"next time, listen to the red headed girl" she said and nodded to her companions vulpix before she scooped him up and cradled him against her.

"laura was it?" she said as she stood up and looked at the fox pokemon ,"tommy will play again In a while but he has abandonment issues so he'll need a hug for a bit, is that ok with you?" she asked with a smile before turning her head back to laura's trainer.

"I'm a Kanto baby, I'm from cerulean city originally" she said and then tilted her head to one side ,"misty? Water gym leader? Do you know her or have you heard of her? That's the city I'm from, I even met her a few times actually" she said to try to explain where she was from a little better. "I've been to sinnoh and johto already and I do really want to go to hoenn, I've been offered a boat to fiore twice but I'm not really a ranger type of a girl so I haven't actually been there" she said and then smiled at one of her ranger memories ,"let me rephrase that, I don't want to be a ranger, rangers themselves are defiantly my type but not their job" she said with a wink

And don't any knots you've got get a little caught by something at some point? It seems like something that could be rather troublesome from time to time." Maiya said in response to the girl's explanation about her hair. It was certainly a bit odd to hear but at the same time refreshing. It seemed like too many people anymore were focusing on looks too much and them being pristine so hearing a change of pace like this was rather nice every now and again though rare. "As long as you're happy with it though that's what really matters, or so I'm told." The girl still wasn't so sure about that phrase but it seemed like it normally went over rather well in conversation so she kept it in mind to use where easily applied. She chuckled a little at the small Raltz and his actions. Rather adorable it was after all. Maiya watched as her own pokemon seemed to chuckle a little too at the sight before bounding to her trainer's side. Smiling she bent down to give the little pokemon a quick scratch behind the ear before straightening herself again. "Laura yes, and alright, I'm sure she can be patient. Can't you Laura?" The Vulpix huffed up at her trainer, she didn't want to have to be patient again! Hadn't she already been patient enough? But if the other pokemon wouldn't play then fine, she'd wait, but there was no way the little fox was going to be happy about any of it at the very least. As a form of payback for making her wait to play further the Vulpix sat on her trainers foot and wrapped her paws around her ankle in a sort of hug. With another huff the pokemon went about her waiting to play. "Oh don't be so grumpy Laura." "Oh you're a Kanto baby too? I've seen the Cerulean Gym before but I didn't go in eheh." Maiya looked to the side a moment a little lost in thought, she knew the gym, it was water based and that had kept her away. She'd gone by it once though, she liked visiting the gyms but she couldn't handle the water in that gym at least she couldn't back then. The memories and temptation that flooded in when she was near that much water just freaked her out not to mention she tended to have small breakdowns when that sort of thing surfaced and she despised making people deal with those. She highly doubted anyone out there wanted to deal with a small woman curling into a ball, crying and begging for it to stop while apologizing profusely. Nobody deserved to have to deal with that either. "Seems like you've been around the bend a bit." She said returning her attention to the girl as she spoke. Throwing aside the thoughts of before she focused on what the girl had said instead and forming her own response to it. With a slight nod she opened her mouth to speak. "I've been quite a few places too, Johto, Kanto Hoenn, Sinnoh, the Orange Islands, a few others even too. Though I don't really like the journey I certainly like getting there." She said with a slight nod. She really had hated the journeys, all that damn water all around no matter what she seemed to do. It terrified her a little the idea of traveling by water but it seemed to be rather inevitable when traveling.

Nix smiled and then paused before bending down and looking at the other girls vulpix ,"how about me and your trainer stop walking? We'll find a tree to sit in or on and then I'll let out our youngest team member and all three of you can play together, there's a small pot hole up here and I'm sure if I ask our teams baby he can make a pond for you all. Would you like that?" she asked in a soft voice before reaching to her belt and taking off a pokeball. There was a rain drop carved in to it's surface with a letter J in it's centre, not quite as ornate as tains ball but it fitted jark the same as tains carving fitted him and tommy, his.

She stood up and then looked at the other girl ,"I like being different, it makes me one of a kind and noticeable ,both good things" she said in reply to most of her words and then smiled at the comment of mistys gym. "my nanny used to take me there in secret so misty could teach me to become a trainer, I've always loved the water there but I guess it's not to everyone's tastes" she said with a smile before nodding her head to one side. "wanna come sit down so the kiddies can play while use grown ups talk?" she said with a chuckle as Tain bumped his head against her side ,asking if he could sit with the girls rather than have to play with the other pokemon

This other trainer was interesting indeed and the little pokemon had to restrain the urge to leap from her trainers foot and at the trainers face and hugging it. She had a feeling that it would not acquire the pleasantest response from the other trainer and her own would certainly not be happy whatsoever. Rather the pokemon simply sniffed at the girl again as she listened, actually behaving herself for once when normally she would have managed to stir up some trouble. She wouldn't mind some sort of play and at that her ears perked up in interest though one drifted to the side at the mention of the little pond. She was a fire type after all and water was not her best friend but she didn't mind the stuff too much. After all she watched her mother swim once! Just once but still, her line wasn't entirely against water. The Vulpix looked up at her trainer, knowing again that permission needed to be given. Maiya gave the slightest of grimaces in response to the mention of water as the other girl spoke to her pokemon. She'd need to steer clear of that pokemon and for a little while the hole that had been mentioned. As it was she would likely have to make sure she wasn't facing the direction of the pokemon when the inevitable water attack would be used. If she didn't she just knew she'd wind up breaking down on the girl that new barely anything more than her name. That was not something that was on her list of things to do. As the red head moved her attention back to Maiya the blond girl gulped back the uncomfortable feeling that had welled up in her throat at the idea of the water. She was sure not to show any hint of being uncomfortable while she was at it. "I suppose so. That's rather cool though, that you got to spend time with a gym leader like that. I didn't get any experiences like that when I was younger myself." She hadn't gotten much of any experience when she was younger to be specific, not that she'd say it. She'd been so restricted back then, and she'd been so under exposed to the world to that now she was actually rather sensitive to her surroundings. She caught herself on occasion noticing things others didn't or catching a whiff of a smell long before anyone else, never having sensed so many things she'd wound up sensitive to the new things now. She'd barely seen anything beyond her backyard! "I wouldn't mind I suppose. Hmm.. maybe I'll let some of the others out to play. I'm sure Blathy wouldn't mind being out and about for a bit. Not late enough for Luther and Gunther was being cranky last time though. We'll see." She said as she fiddled with the pokeballs located in her pocket and the pokemon that were held there. The Oddish Blathy was mostly nocturnal but always seemed willing to play though she did cause trouble as she was a ruffian of an Oddish. The Lunatone Luther would only be cranky it wasn't nearing midnight when he was let loose and he didn't really like groups like this. The last one Gunther, her hitmonchan just couldn't seem to decide if he was willing to obey or if he wanted to test her patience with disobedience that none other she'd dealt with seemed capable of. She continued fidgeting with the pokeballs, lulling the idea of letting one of them out in her mind as she waited.

[Nix Night]

Smiling at her new freind she tilted her head to one side a little bit ,"you really don't Like water" she said simply as she rolled jarks ball around in her hand. It wasn't a question at all but a statement that nix had worked out, the girl seemed to have something against it that nix knew was probably stemming from childhood trauma, nix herself didn't really fear any thing besides her team being hurt and her family but those were things she could avoid if she tried. And here she was forcing a girl to sit beside a makeshift pond when she was scared of the water inside it.

She smiled and then flicked her fingers so jarks ball sat in her palm and then she lowered her other hand to her belt and ran her fingers over the pouches there. Her fingers brushed the potions pouch and she felt her supplies knock against her and then the same over her pokeballs pouch, she smiled to herself as her fingers came over each of her pokemons personalised balls again. Tains had a simple T with long vines and leaves branching off it ,jarks wasn't in it's normal place due to it being in her hand and all, phantoms had only basic tent on it with a P in it's centre and three crosses round the letter. She hand stopped over her umbreons, shadow, and she plucked it from her belt. shadow's ball had a ball of flames cut in to with a S in it's centre, it was nix's favourite ball of all the ones she had carved. Holding the ball out she pressed the button at it's centre and her umbreon flashed out before her and looked at phantom and Tain before sniffing at the air and looked at laura ,"brreee" she said with a smile and nix nodded her head. "yes indeed, we found you a girl to play with" nix said and shadow broke in to a wide grin as nix looked back at her friend ,"if your that bad with water we can stay here, I know we've only just met but I can understand not wanting to do something if your scared" she said with a friendly voice
