The year is 2030, Vampires forced to hide amongst humans or fear death due to exposure can now live freely, for they make up the majority of the population. In 2016, one recently sired scientist went mad and unleashed a pandemic disease on the human population. Those whose bodies could handle it became creatures of the night while those whose bodies could not, died, reducing the human population from billions to mere millions in only 14 years and the blood quotient to 50%

Now the vampires operate well in the open, owning a world that once shunned them and forcing humans to hide as they once had to.

Now there’s another reason to fear the night.
