THE GREAT GREAT AFFECTION THAT SLEEPS IN MY CHEST [atrb=cellspacing,2,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #E5E5E5; box-shadow: 2px 2px 9px #000000 height: 355px; width: 500px, btable][atrb=style, background:url(http://i749.photobucket.com/albums/xx133/kyarra_arrayk/yesorno.png); width: 288px;] | [atrb=style, width: 218px; height: 355px;]If she had been told by anyone that coming here to this region, to Unova would bring such a fruit as the one it had given her she wouldn't have believed them. As much as the mere idea of seeing her sister or her one childhood friend again had kept her going for so long over the years she never would have expected it to actually happen. She knew the world wasn't all that big but she never expected herself to ever, ever see either of them again. After all the world had already taken so much from her why wouldn't it take one more thing? The thing that could have broken her most even. She had even seen them both on the same day. At the same time! It was a moment of joy she never thought she'd have gotten to have. For once, just once it seemed the world was smiling on her. Though she didn't expect it to last long at all. It would only be a matter of time she knew before those two left her two. She was content with that now though. Her past, the part neither of them was a part of, she knew it would only be a matter of time before both of them knew and she wouldn't want them around too long after that. She didn't want them caught up in those things. No neither of them deserved that, especially if it were because of her. She owed them more than that!
Maiya shook her head as she peered out over the bridge. The thoughts were so depressing, the idea of losing either of them again but she'd take that loss. It would be for their well being and she knew it. As long as it would be better for them she would take that hit every time. She would leave them behind. She would walk alone if it meant no one else was hurt, just like she was now. Walking down this bridge with an oddly glum look on her face, One she usually covered up with a fake but convincing grin and a bounce in her step. She didn't feel up to it right now. Her eyes slowly drifted upwards as she looked at the night sky searching for a moon she couldn't seem to find. Maybe just maybe she could have at least one day with each of them? One day that she spent doing nothing but making each of them smile as many times as she could. Then maybe she could leave that behind before they learned what she had become, what she had done. Maybe they could stay in the memories of those days instead of the memories of the gruesome stories when she was gone.
She didn't even notice herself coming to a stand still as she peered up at the sky. She didn't feel the tear fall down her cheek when she thought about how things would inevitably end. She knew this was how it would have to be. No one really benefited from being around her long. No one. Made one meeting or two but most of the time that got people nowhere but knee deep into shit if not dead. She didn't want to do that to people anymore. She wanted to do good by them but that was never how it worked with her involved. No something always went wrong, terribly wrong. She couldn't do that to those two! She couldn't suck them of all people down to her level! They didn't deserve such a fate! Not at all! She was the one born a monster, raised a monster, that lived as a monster and lived up to the name. She didn't deserve people like them. She didn't deserve to even know their names. Who was she to wish to leave them nothing but a day filled with smiles?
But that was her greatest wish.
She wanted to leave them nothing but a smile.
Just a smile.
She took a deep breath as a few more tears escaped and managed to make their ways down her cheek and she continued to stare at the night sky. She refused to break down and sob in public at least. She'd stand there in her hoodie and short shorts with the tears as long as it took to make sure she wouldn't sob. She waited for the tears to stop, and while she did all she could see were those smiles. All she could think was how much she wanted to leave only those smiles behind.

WORD COUNT: 322 TAGS: people LYRICS: loves me not - Tatu EXTRA: THANK YOU | Dante looked at the little Minun on his shoulder and smiled. "Well are you hungry little guy?" he asked Bates seeing it nod before starting to try and eat Dante's hair. "I'll take that as a yes." he laughed pulling out a little candy from his pocket for Bates. The little Minun was super happy and tried his hardest not to do a painful shock to Dante but did a little happy tickle which caused Dante to laugh.
Over the years Dante had grown in many ways. He was stronger and taller but he was still unhappy with himself like he used to be. His ex made things like that even worst for Dante. His fake smile on almost of the time but right now it was real. Bates kept him happy no one ever kept him very happy other then Maiya but once she left nothing was ever the same for Dante. She was his best friend and it hurt losing her. all the problems with his ex caused even more problems for the poor boy.
The blond stopped walking and sighed. "Bates maybe we should find a spot to rest for the night." Bates nodded snuggling agenst Dante's neck. "I'll right." Dante nodded and patted the pokemon's head before seeing a formilure walk coming this way.
The face was covered up but he remembered Maiya always in shorts and sandles. The blond just stood there not saying anything not sure if it was his long lost friend. It had been a long time sense the two seen each other last. Dante was much taller now and dressed differntly. He almost always seemed to be in a dress shirt and vest with his jeans or even a suit jacket, but today he was in a normal long sleeve shirt.
Hating not knowing if that was Maiya or not coming his way Dante had to say something. "Maiya?" His voice broke slightly |

THE GREAT GREAT AFFECTION THAT SLEEPS IN MY CHEST [atrb=cellspacing,2,true][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #E5E5E5; box-shadow: 2px 2px 9px #000000 height: 355px; width: 500px, btable][atrb=style, background:url(http://i749.photobucket.com/albums/xx133/kyarra_arrayk/yesorno.png); width: 288px;] | [atrb=style, width: 218px; height: 355px;]She could have stood there alnight lost in thought and tears but it seemed fate was going to save her from the self mutilating thoughts for once. Even if it was bound to be only a matter of time before she returned to those thoughts she was silently glad she'd be pulled from them. She knew she deserved them, the pain from them, but it hurt to think like that sometimes. Sometimes she would almost beg herself to stop it just to stay quiet because it was what she deserved. She'd have gone on tearing herself apart if her own name being called out hadn't interrupted such thoughts.
"Hm?" The sound was so small even she almost didn't hear it but then again had it been much louder it likely would have turned into a sob of one sort or another which she was refusing to allow still. Her attention went directly to the source, there weren't exactly a lot of noises at the bridge at this time anyway but the fact that she was good with her senses certainly helped pinpoint it. All that under exposure when she was little mixed with her straining to catch things seemed to have made her a bit sensitive after so many years of it. She was surprised but what she saw there a little. She'd seen him already and knew he was around sure but still, there he was, Dante. Funny how he seemed to always come at the right time.
With out saying a word Maiya rushed over to her fellow blond. Sure he had changed in appearance since back then but she knew her people. She wasn't sure how but she could always tell, there was just something about the feeling in her gut that said it was them, that they were there. She didn't think try about pulling him into a hug either. How else would she greet the guy? There was nothing else that would ever be a fitting greeting in her eyes when it came to him. Nothing. She took a single deep breath in an attempt to not cry again. Seeing Dante on top of what she had been thinking about just seemed like the last bit to make the dams break but she was also a rather stubborn and determined woman. With a sniffle she hugged him a little tighter. There weren't words to describe how good it was to see him again.
