Route 10 was full of trainers, most of them battling or recuperating from battle. It was for that exact purpose that had brought Kai there. She needed to train her pokemon, and what better way than battling against another trainer? Having heard about how this route was always filled with people, she had chosen it as her destination for the day. Of course, she hadn't expected it to be this difficult to find someone to challenge. Everyone seemed to already be in a battle, and the few who weren't had obviously just gotten out of one. Determined, she continued along the route, her Jolteon, Ziva, right on her heels.
Tucked inside her messenger bag was three eggs and two other pokeballs. The eggs she had recently come across, and she kept them safely nestled inside. Occasionally she would take one out, but as of yet there had been no change in their status. She wondered what the pokemon who hatched from them would be like. There was a green one, one that reminded her of an Eevee's tail, and one that looked almost like candle wax. The thought of the young pokemon hatching excited her, which is why she was keeping them along. Forced to keep her party light however, she had chosen just three pokemon for battling that day. Aside from her Jolteon, she also had the two pokeballs. Inside were her Vaporeon and her newly obtained Treecko. It seemed like a well rounded team to her.
Having wandered for a bit, she finally spotted a trainer who did not seem to be battling. Approaching the brown-haired boy carefully, she smiled. Holding her hand out to the man in the cloak in a gesture of friendliness, she spoke. "Hi, my name's Kai..uh..would you like to battle?" She had been working on her confidence, but it still felt awkward for her to be walking up to a total stranger and asking for a battle.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,560,true] Aaron had bee nwalking around in Route 10 after he got Bunny healed at the Pokemon center in Opelucid city. The fact was he had to train Bunny more. And Trainers were a better way to train than battling Wild pokemon. And he and Bunny both wanted Bunny to evolve as fast as possible. Having Beautiful pokemon were his dream. No matter the type, as long as they were beautiful he wanted them. And Lopunny were one of those. But he had no idea when Bunny would evolve. None of the pokemon books he had read said anything about it. So he had to experiment. And right now that experiment was training hard. Now if he could find someone that would battle him.... But it seemed like he did not have to look around. He heard a voice and looked a little to his left. A girl, smaller than him approached him. But he could tell that she was older. And the blonde hair was long and beautiful, with a black...hat...thingy on her head. He could not indentify the type. He had never seen anything like that before. But she had a red shirt on, and a necklace almost like his. Last, he oticed the messenger bag she was carrying around. It seemed full. He looked her in the eyes and smiled. He then held his arm out ans shaked hers. It would be rude not to greet properly. - My name is Aaron. Nice to meet you. Aaron said. She had not said her last name, and this meant that he had not to say his. And therefore he could keep himself a little mysterious. Just the way he liked it. Then he noticed the Jolteon. A Eevee evolution. It was pretty rare. Then, from inside his cape that acted like a cloak, Bunny looked out. She had been hiding in there. She looked up at the Jolteon and smiled, greeting with a loud <<Bun!>>. Aaron looked down on her and smiled. As Bunny had moved the cape to the side to look out, his left side was now visible. Inside his cape, under his left arm held up by his left palm was a Sneasel egg. And he did not try to hide it at all. And just then, a shadow landed on Aaron's shoulder. - Say hello to Bunny and Sheila. So, what kind of battle do you wish to do? Aaron asked, looking at Kai. His Shiny Chatot from childhood were on his shoulder, looking at Kai and the Jolteon. A smile spread across Kai's face as Aaron excepted her friendly gesture. She was glad she had managed to find someone who seemed friendly, and with such well taken care of pokemon. "It's nice to meet you too," she replied. Ziva was preoccupied with the Buneary who had popped out of the boy's cloak. Gently sniffing the normal-type in greeting, she let out a small "Jol!" in response to the Buneary's cry. The goggles atop the eeveelution's head shone slightly in the sunlight. It was a beautiful day, perfect for a friendly battle. "Hello Bunny, Sheila," the blonde said, nodding her head to acknowledge each pokemon. Considering what type of battle to do, she reached into her bag and pulled out her remaining two pokeballs. It was only fair, in her mind, to show her opponent her own team, since she could clearly see his. Releasing the pokemon within, she revealed her Vaporeon and Treecko. After placing a hand on her Jolteon's back, she began to introduce her team. "This is Ziva," she then turned to her Vaporeon, who was clearly younger than the electric-type. "This is Zero," as she spoke, her Treecko began to scramble up her leg, then her back, and finally came to a rest on her shoulder. She always did like climbing on everything, and if nothing else was around she would drape herself over Kai's shoulder. "And this is Ziger." She had no idea why she had named all of them with Z-names, she had just thought the names would fit the trio. "I have three here, so I'm up for either one-on-ones or a double battle, whichever you would prefer." Her pokemon were eyeing the opponent team with mixed expressions. Ziva seemed a little wary about the battle, looking at Bunny in particular. The young Vaporeon however seemed excited. He loved the idea of a challenge, and the pokemon before him looked strong. Clinging to her shoulder perch, the Treecko looked simply curious about the two pokemon and the trainer in front of him. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,560,true] Aaron smiled as she called out her pokemon. He had three pokemon too, but Tendar was not a pokemon he used to fight. He loved watching him roll around in the grass. So he did not use him in battle. But he eyed the Vaporeon and Jolteon. They seemed strong. This would not be a easy battle. - Well, we can have a double battle, or a two on two single battle. Either is fine with me. Aaron said as he walked backwards a bit to have some space between them so that the pokemon could battle. As he did that, Bunny had climbed up his cape and were sitting on his left shoulder. He smiled towards Kai, awaiting her response. He still had the egg inside his cape. Meanwhile, Bunny stared at the pokemon in turns. First, she stared at the Vaporeon. After deciding that it was enough staring on it, she stared at the Treecko. And began wondering what kind of pokemon it was. It looked like a friggen green lizard. But at least it was not a bug. She then returned her stare to the Vaporeon and Jolteon. She seemed more interested in them. Not that weird. They had fur after all. Sheila, on the other hand, were going trough songs in her head, wondering what kind of song she would either annoy them all with, or use as a battle music. And she had just the right music in mind. And it was PERFECT for annoying. The song itself was maybe not annoying, but it was a really hated meme. Other chatots had learned her it. It was rumored for its memeness. Once again there was a moment of consideration. A double battle could be fun, but would also risk two of her pokemon at once. However, it meant she could try working on some combination moves. Making her decision, she spoke again. "A double battle sounds fun," her response was said with slight uncertainty, which she tried to hide. Now there was just one more matter to settle: Which two pokemon to use. It wouldn't be an easy decision for the trainer. She liked all her pokemon. Still, it was a choice she would have to make. Ziva was an obvious choice, but her second was tough. Neither her Treecko or Vaporeon had any sort of advantage. In fact, Ziger had a disadvantage, but the grass-type was a little stronger than her Vaporeon. Finally choosing, she pulled out Zero's pokeball. "I'm sorry, but you'll be sitting this fight out," she said before returning the water-type to his pokeball. Looking over at Aaron, she smiled. "These two will be my team," Kai's voice was starting to sound determined. She saw this as an opportunity to prove herself. Her two pokemon waited loyally at her side for the battle to start. The young Treecko hopped down from her trainer's shoulder, landing gracefully on her feet. She settled on the other side of Kai, the one opposite Ziva. Both Jolteon and Treecko were content with waiting for the opponent to make the first move. "Ready when you are," Kai said with another smile. This battle would be exciting, she could feel it. Aaron nodded in approval as Kai chose a double battle. It would give him a chance to test out the bonds between his pokemon, since they had never battled together before. And the fact that she chose just those two actually gave him an advantage in type. But he could also finally try out some of the moves he had been thinking about. As he moved a little more backwards, Bunny and Sheila jumped off him, Bunny ready for battle on the ground, with Sheila hovering over her. - Ok Bunny, Sheila. You know what we talked about? Let us do it. Bunny, Fire punch! Sheilah, Peck! Flaming Peck! Aaron said with a determinded voice. Flaming peck was a move that needed both of them to even work. And if the teamwork was good, then it could do quite some damage. Bunny jumped up, igniting the fire punch as she did. Even though Aaron did not like flames and fire, he did like how it could be used to make Bunny look awesome. That, and it was god damn effective. Good thing he did not hate it as much as bugs. As Bunny passed Sheila, she hit the air in front of her with the fire punch as Sheila flew forwards. The flames that came from her punch flew trough the air, sorrounding Sheila, before it became one with her beak. Sheila were flying towards the Treecko with her Flaming Peck. The trail of fire left behind her in the air dissipeared after a second, but it still made her look way faster than she really was. As Sheila flew towards the Treecko, aiming to use her now Flaming Peck on on it, let out a few phrases as she did, in a female human voice. - The man in the back said everyone attack and it turned into a baron blitz! She yelled as she came closer to the Treecko. Oh how fitting that line was right now.
