The year is 1977 and the world is at war.
Within the halls of Hogwarts, however, life goes on as usual, with little evidence as to the fighting going on in the outside world. In fact, save for quiet interruptions of students being pulled from class to be informed of missing relatives, there was absolutely nothing that would indicate a war was even going on. The professors saw to it that their students were kept far from that. Or at least they tried. But as with every war, eventually it gets through even the toughest barriers and that includes Hogwarts. The rivalries of the houses runs deep, and sooner than the professors would have liked, everything started to fall apart around them and war entered Hogwarts. Students are being forced to choose sides when they should be worried about exams and homework. The Marauders' seventh year will be fraught with decisions, and those decisions will shape the world as we know it. There's a new world forming, a better world to those who don't stop believin'.
