PERSONALITY: Bradley is a typical veteran of an old man, having been a trainer in his youth and feeling an urge to explore and begin anew in his old age. He's doing things just like he did back then, and doesn't like to rely on new technology like the pokedex to aid him. He sees such things as a crutch that only makes a trainer less capable on their own. He will make use of things like pokemon centers as they've been around for some time, as well as things like potions since they're made to act as herbs and berries to heal a pokemon. However, things that allow a trainer to be less capable of doing what he needs to do, such as knowing about different types of pokemon, he will continually refuse to use.

Just getting into pokemon again, he's unfamiliar with a lot of newer pokemon and types, mainly the dark and steel types. Thus, if someone talks about them around him, he will accuse them of making things up until proven otherwise. He only knows about pokemon that resided within Kanto and to a limited extent, Johto as they would occasionally drift over with the two regions being so close to one another. Beyond that though, he has no idea about the number of pokemon that exist. In his old-fashioned way, he tries to avoid the newer pokemon unless it seems like one that will become something he likes.

Bradley is someone that either likes or hates you, and is himself someone you will either like or hate. If you seem like someone useful or someone with promise, or just someone who makes him feel young again, he'll treat you kindly and be a best friend to you. If you get on him about him being old, or seem like an idiot kid who's doing things because 'it's fun', he'll call you a fool and treat you like a worthless piece of trash. He generally doesn't like the whimsical sorts because he believes they waste away their life and potential doing things 'because they can' or 'because they think it's fun'. He believes if someone will do something, they should do it because it's useful or because it serves some sort of purpose.

That isn't to say though that he's cruel. He's mainly that way when it comes to people. He's a sweet old man when it comes to pokemon and other creatures, especially his kitten whom is affectionally dubbed 'Nyanyan', or 'Nya' for short. He prefers them as they aren't as easily affected by the crime and corruption that gets into people so easily, so they're more true to themselves. Plus, they generally do things to try and survive because they rely more on instinct. A lot of this comes from a deep self-hatred, as he feels he's wasted the last thirty years of his life and has fallen to an extent to his nicotine addiction, so he's using this adventure to try and improve himself as well as find more 'good' people in the world.
