The Whismur could see that Tain was trying the same tactic again. Prepared, he jumped out of the way of the energy ball. He fell silent then, his uproar having come to an end. As the Deerling came in for a tackle, the little purple pokemon slammed his body weight into Tain for a Pound attack. This left him open for the tackle, but once that was finished he began his shrieking again. He seemed considerably weaker now, the battle had been going on for awhile. The fate of the battle rested on the next attack. Both pokemon were barely hanging on.

Nix winced as she stood up and in the brief moment it took the little noisy normal type and dipped her hands in to her coat pockets. She pulled out a packet of tissues and then quickly took two out and licked the middle of each of them before screwing them up and shoving them in each of her ears, she saw the purple normal type menace open it's mouth again but sue didn't winced or flinch or anything. She gave a loud whoop of victory before she looked at the battle and winced as she saw now weak Tain was and she nodded her head.

"Don't let yourself be hit again, use energy ball twice, aim the second at the first and make it larger and make sure it's lined up" she said with a wobbling voice. She bent down and picked up phantom and hugged him close to her and while he had his hands over his head, or ears, nix didn't know which one sounded right in her head. She hugged him close to her chest and then lifted her head and looked up and over at Tain as he started to battle again.

Tain nodded his head and flicked his ears about before he dropped his head and let loose a energy ball before shifting himself to aim at the other ball and then letting a second ball loose. It hit the other one and there was an odd noise like someone jumping in wet mud ,the first ball shifted to include the second and after a few moments of weird morphing in one ball instead of two and blasting forwards at a very quick speed

As the large ball of energy hit, the world seemed to fall silent. The deafening shriek had ended, the Whismur falling to the ground. He was unconscious, fainted from the lack of energy left in his body.

Another Deerling poked it's head out of the brush. The noise had stopped, so it was curious to see if the path was clear for him to cross.

*poop, no new pokemon here...well I have Like loads from the advert comp so I guess it levels Tain and jark up so *

Nix watches the pesky and noisy and down right annoying whismur drop to the ground and she gave a dark grin and then held up tains pokeball and then he turned to look at her. "ddeeeeee...lling" he said in a soft and shaky voice and nix shook her head while she raised her free hand and pulled the tissues out of her ears and then shoved them in her combats pockets. A flash of red light later Tain was gone and nixs pokeball button was flashing ,she placed the ball back on her belt and then ran her fingers over the other balls there. She ran her fingers over the extra balls there and then her finger brushed a dented bit of one ball, she smiled and unclipped it from her belt and held it up to her eye. There was a rain drop cut in to it's surface with a letter J inside it, nix held it out and pressed the button on it's front and then bent down as the red light flashed and she made sure to lower phantom to the ground to.

A sma oshawott appeared in front of her and he gave a small murmur and clapped his paws together and waved at nix as she pointed past him to the new pokemon that had appeared. She knew it was a grass type but it was also a low level so jark did have a chance, plus there was a chance it didn't know any grass moves yet. "jark let's start with brine and then get moving forwards buddy and we'll try return" she called out and the oshawott turned to face the deerling and then threw his hands forwards and a rush of water dropped down on the the startled deerling and then he lowered his head and stared to run forwards in the deerlings direction

Not paying attention to the trainer, the Deerling did not see the attack coming until it hit. The splashes of water did not have much effect on the grass-type, but it certainly got him moving. Surprised, he jumped and ran straight ahead, out of the range of Jark's Return attack. Circling back around, the wild pokemon charged the Oshawott for a tackle.

Nix growled as the move she had wanted to miss didn't and the one she wanted to hit didn't either. "oh I really don't want this" she growled lowering a hand to her belt and taking off another pokeball and holding jarks up in her hand. "jark return" she called out and the water type looked at her before bursting in to red light and disappearing as nix threw a second ball out ,"let's see you have some fun shaz, use iron tail and then shadow ball girlie" nix called out with a smile.

She lowered her hand to her belt and clicked jarks ball back in to place she looked at the one in her hand, there was a flame cut in to it that twisted off in puff of smoke making it look rather evil and there was a letter S cut in to the centre of the fire. Shadows pokeball. The little eevee flicked her tail out as she appeared on the battle field before nodding her head and jumping up as the deerling came at her from behind and a flash of sliver later she brought her tail down on it's head with a cry. "veee" she said as she dropped to the ground and the deerling moved past her a little and nix smiled to herself, "well done shadow!" she called out as the eevee dropped her head and began to form a ball of dark purple shadows in front of her mouth before twisting her head and throwing herself forwards at the deerling that was turning back to face her and letting the move go before stepping back a little.

The Eevee's tail came down hard on the Deerling, causing him to panic even more. Wishing to get away from the pain, he ran full speed away from the Eevee. Turning sharply and coming back for another Tackle, he just barely managed to avoid the Shadow Ball.

Nix couldn't help but smile as she saw the deerling winced at her team mates attack but the thing was fast and while she knew it didn't have the same ability as her own deerling, Tain, but she knew all deerlings were naturally fast. She closed her eyes and thought of a plan as she felt shadow shift on the ground a little away from her ,"use iron tail again and then tackle as your come down, aim for it's head with your tail and it's back with the tackle" nix called out.

Shadow dropped her head with a smile and then sat down, the deerling ran at her with his head low and at the moment where nix was about to call out and tell her to move shadow flicked her tail Round low in front of her quickly before springing up. Sand and dust came up from the path and nix saw shadows shadow in it and heard a cry from the deerling and she took it to mean that the iron tail had hit. "next time, Tell me when your going to do something like that" nix called over as the dust cleared to reveal shadow in midair with her head aimed for the deerlings head. She knew that seeing as the deerling must have paused when the dust came up it still had the power of tackle in it's head so shadow would take damage for this hit, "come on shazzy" nix said quietly to herself

Once again the tail came crashing down onto the Deerling. Wincing, he swung his head towards the Eevee to finish off his tackle. The two pokemon clashed together, both tackles hitting simultaneously. Weakened, the Deerling pulled away again. He had realized that his speed was giving him an advantage, and noticing his opponent was weak as well, charged in once again. This time he was aiming to hit twice. Slam into the Eevee on one side and then quickly move to the other. He was sure that at least one attack would hit, though hoped both would.

Nix saw shadow winced and drop back as the two tackles hit each other and she dropped to the floor and gave a mew of anger and pain mixed in to one, she forced herself to her paws as the deerling hit her right side and then it wheeled around and as nix Opened her mouth to speak shadow was already moving. A flash of sliver shot through the air and nix closed her eyes and took a small step back and she heard phantom beer cheer behind her and then she snapped her bright eyes open. Shadow had her tail against the deerlings head and it seemed she had used iron tail at the same moment the deerling had used tackle and now both were holding the other off from attacking and were stuck in a statemate.

Nix looked down behind her to where phantom was and nodded her head, he had his eyes locked on the battle and was clapping his small hands together to encourage his team mate and nix smiled at him. He had always gotten on with shadow as she was small so nix could always carry her and him together, jark on the other hand was a bit bigger and nix needed both hands to carry him so phantom then had to walk, which he really hated having to go unless he chose to.

Nix turned her head back to the battle and hand and then smiled at her eevee and then curled her hand in to a ball ,"use shadow ball shadow!" she called out with a grin and the little eevee lowered her head before flicking it forwards and sending a ball of purple forwards at the deerling. Nix knew her shadow couldn't take a lot of bits and she was already clearly weak from the Two hits of tackle in a row but she trusted her team mate and knew she would give up until she had won.

He was not having luck with the Eevee's Iron Tail attacks. Stubbornly pressing on, he had no time to dodge the incoming Shadow Ball. Closing his eyes tightly, he prepared for the hit, but the purple energy burst harmlessly when it touched him. The attack seemed to have no effect on the half-Normal-type. Weak, but with renewed hope for winning the battle, the Deerling used Tackle again, hoping the close range would aid him in hitting Shadow hard without her dodging.

Nix saw shadows move do what nix had needed it to do, it sent the deerling back and away from her but not actually hurt it at all but shadow had a moment to step back all the same. nix narrowed her eyes as the deerling came running at shadow again, "shadow use tackle yourself too!" nix called out and shadow pressed her paws down and shot forwards quickly.

The deerling and shadow were headed right for each other and nix curled her hands tighter as the two meet at the same time with a cry from both pokemon, a cloud of dust came up around the pair and hid them from sight. "shadow use iron tail in the dust" nix called out and she saw shadow'e shadow in the dust again but she heard no second cry from the deerling. As the dust settled nix saw shadow on the deerlings back and she was wobbling around, her tail was lifted and it shone sliver again and she slammed it in to the back of the deerlings neck before her legs gave way and she dropped to the ground and she stumbled up to her paws and nix bit down on her lip. She knew that she could swap jark and shadow again but she really wanted shadow to win a battle that was her own but she knew she would switch her if she had to. She would not let her eevee faint!

Once again both pokemon collided in a Tackle, but this time the Deerling did not continue to move about. He wobbled and struggled to stand. When Shadow's tail hit him it was the end of the battle. The grass-type collapsed to the ground, fainted.

It was getting later in the day, and it seemed that most of the pokemon on the route were hiding or going to sleep.

Nix smiled as the deerling tipped to one side and she clapped her hands together as it dropped and shadow managed to stay on her paws. As soon as the deerling was out ,nix dropped forwards on to her knees and held of her hands and shadow jumped the deerling and came running at her trainer, nix scooped her off the ground and hugged her close and she laughed in relief. "well done girlie, you beat him all on your own!" she said softly as shadow mewed in happiness.

Nix down and put shadow on the ground while she dipped a hand in to the black back pack she carried with her and fumbled about for something before nodded her head as she felt her fingers catch it. She took out her pokedex and put it on the ground in front of her before taking out a potion too, "this one" she said pointing at the potion ,"is for you if we come across any other pokemon and if you still want to battle" nix said.

She then opened the pokedex and pressed a few buttons to reveal a favourite page of hers, umbreon. "and this is my offer to you, when you reach level five I will let you decide if you want to evolve, now you know what I want from you but I won't force you to if it's not what you want" she said and then shadow mewed and stood up. She took a step forwards and pressed a button making her own page appear and then pressed the button to go back and nix broke in to a smile as phantom clapped his hands beside them both, "then it's settled, but don't go doing it until your level five ATLEAST" nix said with a chuckle before picking up the pokedex and closing it in her hands
