It was still. There was no motion, no breeze, no Pokemon running around getting ready to sleep for the night or to come out and play under the moon light. The last golden rays of the sun's light stretched over the lands, the casted shadows stretched far in anorexic forms of the surrounding trees and rock. He was a night owl, basically he had just signed out from his hotel room that he bought for the day. He could never get enough of the staff of the hotels that would give him odd looks for just renting a room for a day instead of a night. Their reactions were priceless; rent the room in the early morning; sign out in late evening before sun set. He had very little against the day crowd, the man was just not a fan of sun burns and the bright light that the sun would bombard his sensitive eyes with. Plus, the night crowd was far more interesting than the average Joe in day light. The true nature of humans seems to come out to play once the sun had set, no longer illuminating their faces for scrutiny. Raven, the little bouncy Eevee trotted by his side. Perhaps a little too close, if he were to so angle his foot just right, he could kick her tiny frame ' accidentally' while taking a step. At least there was one good thing about her walking by his side right now... she would be exposed to moonlight, and hopefully would evolve into an Umbreon in no time. At least that is what the man had hoped. She was just too.. frigging... cute. B| Keeping his gaze on the road ahead, the city was silent. Not a stir, no cooks were clanking their dishes nor were the musicians playing. Right now, people were probably sitting in their homes watching a little TV before heading off to bed. The bridge was indeed lovely, the last slivers of the sun's light stretched over the water below, glistening as it flowed steadily. It somehow soothed his nerves for the moment he had allowed himself to lean over the railings and take a breather... no matter how short that time may have been. Pulling away, he was starting once again on his adventure to Lacunosa Town. After just a couple steps to get off the bridge, he felt something cold and wet dribble from his face and drop onto his shirt; seeing as his coat was open and exposed his black v-neck t-shirt underneath that was neatly tucked into his pants like he was wearing some kind of expensive suit. Rubbing the back of his hand under his nose, "You gotta be kidding me." His chords were unmistakably irritated. The red substance was all too familiar; he was randomly bleeding from the nose. "Perrrfect" Sarcasm poisoned his tone. Taking a seat on one of the steps, he tilted his head back, placing a not-white-anymore-now cloth to stop it from staining his clothes any further. An old wive's tail was to tilt your head back, he heard some women tell their children to do so when they had nose bleeds... Never was he interested enough to do actual research about what to really do at a time like this. Raven was always nervous about her master/trainer, staying always as near as possible, she waited for him to recover. At least one good thing always came from it. She purred and leaned into Dexter as he ran his hand from her head down her spine and back. He was willing to pet her to stop himself from getting too frustrated~ Oh how the man hated being a Hemopheliac.

So, she had one interesting couple of days in this place called Unova. Yeah, she was surprised too that there were so many weird people here. That was probably why she was born in Sinnoh, Sunnyshore City. There weren't any weirdos there except for the people that did the bomb threats, or hell, the crackheads. But then again, you knew who those people were, you knew how to avoid them, so some people never would come to meet them. She was walking down the bridge, looking at the water. It was peaceful compared to what she had to to for the past little while. Yeah, she was pretty content just so long as she was by some body of water. In fact, she even had her swimsuit tucked away somewhere in case she wanted to take a dip or something. For the first time she entered the region, she felt a smile perk at the ends of her mouth, and then almost as quickly, it was gone. The mood was gone when she looked over, about to continue her stroll, when she saw someone familiar holding an arm to his face as if he had a bloody nose. Her memory corrected her, and told her that he was a hemophiliac. She had read some things about it, but really it was a condition where the blood would take longer to clot than most normal people's. So, she did what would have accounted for the dumbest thing all day to do for her. She walked up to who she thought was the crackhead, and sighed. "I'd think hemophiliac's would remember to bring tissues or something with them for when this happens." And so she took out a few of her kleenex from her bag and handed it to the raven haired man. He almost reminded her of someone she knew a while ago, but just as quickly as the thought occurred to her, she dismissed it. Better to not dwell on such past subjects and just move on. Plus, this guy was far from who he reminded her of. No matter how alike they acted, or for the most part, looked.

It didn't hurt, far from it really. It was just really, really annoying. Seeing as he could bleed for a half hour before showing any signs of stopping; by that time he would develop a kink in the neck from leaning his head back for so long. There has got to be a better way to deal with these things than this. The only thing he could do like this was watch the sky and slowly observe the stars starting to peek out from the dark purple abyss. "One... two... four..." He started counting them as they appeared. At least this time, it wasn't all over the hotel sheets. He grinned remembering that one time... he woke up with the sheets and pillows looking like he was murdered in his sleep. Oh how he would have payed to see the maids' faces when they walked in to clean the place up. Foot steps, he could hear them coming closer from behind. He tilted his head further to get a better view of who was coming. Nearly breaking his neck off, but he didn't seem to mind. He stopped petting Raven to support himself from falling over backwards from leaning over too much... He quirked a brow seeing who was coming. He recognized her. Mrs. Emotionless. "I'd think hemophiliac's would remember to bring tissues or something with them for when this happens." His smile was hidden under his sleeve, "Fresh out~" He responded like some kind of free kindred spirit. Not wanting to fall over, he used the hand he was using to cover his nose to reach out for the Kleenex that she had so kindly passed over to him. Quickly placing it on his face and returning to the position he had before nearly falling over. His back to her, he stared back at the sky. "So what is a lovely woman doing out here at this time of night?~" There was no point in trying to say something to tick her off, he didn't know her well enough and so far, she was just too... dull to react to anything he could say or do. Unless he went to rub his bloody nose or Kleenex on her clean blouse... He was sure that even she would react to that. However, that was a little far, even for him. No matter how devious the idea may be delicious to try out some day. Perhaps against someone a little more interesting... With his free hand, he brought Raven closer to his side, she was now leaning against him gleefully with his hand protectively around her. If this woman wanted a battle, she would need to wait until he was ready. For now, he would keep a close guard on his Pokemon just in case... hers and his were equally unpredictable.... Raven mewed happily, rubbing her face into his coat.. B|

He was. . . Counting? She looked up to see that the sky had a purple veil over it, making the mix with the oranges, yellows, and reds. The stars were beginning to peek out from behind the normally lit up sky. The moon was full tonight, and Ever found herself leaning against the railing of the bridge just so she could admire it. It was a beautiful sight, and normally people that come to Unova would see stuff like this is postcards, but seeing it for yourself is a completely different experience itself. Although she thought of it like this was her first time seeing the night sky, even though it was far from it. She had seen the night sky more times than she could really count. . . "You're fresh out of Kleenex?" She sighed, shaking her head slightly as if running out of Kleenex was the worst excuse she'd heard of. The night sky was starting to take on a darker purple color, the mixing of oranges, yellows, and reds were starting to disappear as the veil slipping on farther, slowly but surely. The moon and stars were standing out more, and Ever didn't take her eyes off of it. Although she did notice that Dexter was having some troubles with his balance, too. The man was nearly falling over with the way he was craning back his head. "It's more effective when you lean forwards and pinch the bridge of your nose. . ." Her education suddenly resurfaced in her mind, something about nosebleeds and leaning forwards was supposed to help it clog better than leaning back. "It also helps if you're sitting."He, too, was staring at the sky. Which was by now starting to go a mixture of dark purples and dark blues, soon to make a black. "Enjoying an evening stroll down the bridge. And you?" It wasn't hard for her to try and be polite to him, even if the last time they met he was trying to anger her. Although, he didn't seem to be doing that right now. Strange, sure, but it was relaxing to be able to let herself just lean against the railing, completely relaxed, as if she had nothing better to do on this night. Of course she did, but those better things weren't nearly as interesting as this. She noticed that he pulled his pokemon closer, almost as if he was thinking that she wanted to battle or something while he was holding tissues to his face and was bleeding from the nose. That was like taking advantage of someone, something she was against doing. "I'm not here to battle, just saw that you were having nose problems and decided to help out." She topped it off with a shrug, as if it was something she'd do any day someone she saw bleeding out of their nose on the pavement. In reality, she probably couldn't care less had it been someone she'd never met before. But then why help him out? She had no clue.

The stars were staring to appear a little faster now as the minutes ticked on, he was now at twenty and counting, he probably missed a couple on his way up, but never double counting. It was weird just sitting there while she was standing behind him watching over the bridge. It felt weird not trying to get a kick out of her. But when ever he looked like he had already gotten a good punch in the face, it was time to take a breather and relax. He hated his genes, and blamed no one but himself; if he hated himself so much then why did he continue on living? He had met Arceus, the creator of beings apparently, knowing it exists should give him some kind of outlet to hte something else other than himself. However, he danced and sang with the almighty, which meant that it was not somewhere deciding which souls would have which genes. And so, just a random act of faith he guessed. "Fresh out" He sounded a little irritated about reppeating himself when she questioned. Who was she to sigh and question him? He wasn't some kind of napkin disposer fairy that could have them appear out of no where. Shit happens. Not everyone could be that goat man from Hoodwinked and always be prepared. "It's more effective when you lean forwards and pinch the bridge of your nose. . ." she said. His brows furrowed for a moment in thought, he hasn't heard of that method... there couldn't be anything malicious she was planning either by haivng him lean forward, she was already out of his sight. Rotating his weight, he shifted to lean his head a little forward... far more comfortable than having to tilt back. Using his thumb and index he did as she intructed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "I was just on my way to Lacunosa Town. I haven't been there yet. That was until misfortune droped by for a little visit." He shrugged carelessly, still holding Raven close while pinching his nose with his other hand. He just wanted the damn thing to stop already. She explained that she wasn't here to battle, apparently he was abvious enough in his attempts to stay as low key as possible in this sort of situation. Chekcing the tissue that was so far doing a good job at keeping him from bleeding all over the place, it seemed that he was starting to slow. That was a good sign at least, just a little longer. "Heh, well you never know now a days, people tend to come out of no where and challenge you once they catch a wiff that you are a trainer.~" He took the time to pat Raven on the head, she winced and smiled up at him gleefuly. He could feel a cavity burrowing its self into his right bottom molar. "Can't be too sure anymore~"ooc: lol he actually was sitting, on like one of the steps of the bridge XD

Now that night had fallen, she could plainly see the lake below the two of them. It was a sight that would make any tourist hold his or her breath, but Ever seemed completely unaffected by it. In fact, she almost seemed bored by it. In truth, she could only think of how bad she wanted to swim in it. Ever, strangely enough, had a passion for swimming. She loved the weightlessness that it gave, the feeling of being. . . Well, free. It was something that she looked forward to, taking a nice dip every once in a while. She could feel the irritableness coming off of him in waves, and simply stayed quiet. Her eyes still drifting over the dark waves, the moon that reflected over it, and then the stars that stood bravely next to it. It was while she was like this that she would remember those nights that she would sit in the basement, with only the little creepy crawlers for any form of company. . . She'd look up to the sky from the window slot and actually try talking to the moon. Cheesy, she knew, but she still used to do it. The moon was really the only pleasant company she had, since she really did not like spending time with those spiders. All they'd do was crawl all over her and, in truth, she never got any sleep. Which lead to her insomnia in her later years. Always having that feeling of spiders crawling over here. . . She shivered and shook her head clear of those thoughts. If there was ever one thing she hated about photographic memories, it was definitely the fact that she was incapable of forgetting anything. Or if she did, it was because she blocked it from her mind somehow, and that was a truly rare occasion. He shrugged so carelessly, as if having a nosebleed as often as he did was some sort of normality or something. It probably was for his life, but for any other human being, for instance that woman walking down the street that just passed them, it probably wasn't. Having a nosebleed right now would be something out of the ordinary, she wouldn't just shrug it off as if it were nothing like this man did. "I just tell them to get lost. Normally they do, or just pester me until I walk off. But I normally don't ask people to battle." She hadn't battled another person at all, let alone asked someone else. But she figured that she wasn't really going to try to do any of this "lets be the very best" nonsense, she really only went to Unova to watch out for someone, and so far, she had yet to really find her.
