Showing up in a new region, embarking from the town where the locals were said to have been enlisted by a Professor to fill out Pokédexes. The whole idea of it sounded so repeated and irritating. These young "heroes" taking their region by storm. If he had been in a good mood, he might have laughed at it. But Jerry was very rarely not solemn. He went straight through the town to Route One of Unova Region. It was the ideal location to start off, regardless of the cliché in it all. Emerging past the town border, James noticed something to his left. It was a water path. He cursed himself under his breath, wishing he had something to ride across. No way in hell would he find himself stripped down and swimming. No, he'd be sure to come back once he had something capable of carrying him across. Pulling the only contained Pokéball from his belt, he threw it up silently, and released the Abra within. This Abra required quite the work to have bred. He wanted specific moves, so he scoured all around his home region finding a Medicham that knew all three types of Punches, and bred it with a Kadabra that already had Light Screen and Barrier as moves. The result was this Abra in front of him, stacked with an already fantastic move set. However, this Abra still had a juvenile attitude. He smiled often, and floated, walked, and teleported all around James as they walk. "It's almost like the universe is laughing at me. I go through the trouble to make you perfect, and we end up being polar opposites. Well, the universe needs a good testing every once in a while." In reality, James had a relative amount of humor, along with quite the wit. If he actually liked people, he'd probably make a satisfiable friend. Too bad all of his past experiences led him to doing anything but stick to people at a comfortable level. "Well, maybe some battles will do you some discipline." He looked around, entering the grassed areas, with a look challenging anything around. He'd been following a friend when suddenly some sort of wall appeared amongst the grasses he'd be running through. About to hit the feet of the trainer walking past he tried to dodge finding himself darting in front of the trainer instead but still bumping into the man's feet a little.
<"Gah!"> The pokemon yelped in surprise when his attempt failed skidding to a stop and turning to look at the man. He stood there with a curious look before bouncing about on his feet feeling oh so energetic. He'd already lost his friend thanks to the collision and he couldn't quite decide if he should hunt down his friend or maybe go for a little payback against this trainer for getting in the way to begin with. Of course he could always be struck down or caught if the trainer was capable and so chose.

Staring at it on one side, he noticed it there was quite a bit. The back of his leg was hit by a fluffy object. Looking down, James saw a Zigzagoon. The little thing had just smashed past him, and now was staring at him. "Well, it's not an ideal battle, but I heard there were gonna be a lot of these little beasts. Abra, use your Ice Punch, and immediately follow that with a Fire Punch" It was exactly how James operated. Attack, regardless of implication. The reaction was probably why he never got along with people. In any situation, he immediately commands attacks. The Abra was already pretty used to that. So, when he heard his trainer's voice, his fists grew alight.
His right fist was engulfed in flames. The fire twisted and surrounded his arm. To an uninformed or confused bystander, it could look very painful. On the other arm, the twinkling of icicles began. With a right fist on fire and the left on ice, he was ready. Lunging at the Zigzagoon, he swung a right hook at the Pokémon's head, and then followed it up with an uppercut from the left hand. It was quite the boxing move. That little nuance was probably picked up from the fact that his father was a Medicham.
Though he would never say it, behind his fierce facade, he was really happy at the moment. Watching his young and relatively weak Pokémon execute such an impressive combination was literally what he was living for. The growth and development of himself along with his team was all he came to the Unova region for. Not the people, barely the cities, just the training. It was a new exploit, one he planned to conquer.

However he didn't quite make it fast enough and though the hits were more of a graze the things still hurt. Shaking its head in an attempt to shake off the pain and despite it only causing a little bit more the pokemon growled at its opponent in agitation before lunging towards the Abra with a tackle attack in mind.
Zigzagoon was hit with Fire punch and Ice punch. Zigzagoon used Growl and Tackle.

They seemed to do enough damage, but then the Zigzagoon let out a growl. The noise pierced the Abra's ears, making his physical attacks weakened. Then, the wild Pokémon dove at him with a tackle. They were already in such close proximity that even if he wanted to, the Abra didn't have the focus or attention span to teleport away in time.
Watching his Abra get hit was irritating to James. He felt a twinge of compassion and worry for his Pokémon, but he knew the little Psychic Pokémon would be able to take it. "All right, let's not let him get you again too badly, throw up a reflect!" The Abra already knew what he should have done, James was always one to promote strategic battling as opposed to all out offensive. The "shield" was created around the Abra, making any physical attacks coming at him weakened. If the tackle was all this Zigzagoon had, the battle wouldn't be too difficult. "Now, use your other attack, Thunder Punch!" This time, only one arm was charged up, and shocks and bolts of lightning seemed to instantly appear all around.
The Abra lunged back at the Zigzagoon, which, luckily, was still pretty close, and went for a straight punch. James hoped that Zigzagoon would be paralyzed by it, but it was only a one in ten chance that it would happen. An afflicted enemy is always an easier target. That was a strategic idea he had always appreciated.

The close range made dodging the hit out of the question this round and the Zigzagoon wound up taking it head on. The pokemon stumbled back feeling a bit loopy from the hit, this Abra had a bit of a punch behind it. Growling again the Zigzagoon gathered itself enough to think over it's next move. Without putting much thought into it the pokemon lunged at the Abra again only realizing to lat that that meant close range and he was likely to take another hit dead on that way.
Zigzagoon was hit with Thunder Punch. Zigzagoon used Growl and Tackle.

But now, the Zigzagoon growled again, making his physical attacks even less potent. The wild Pokémon turned back and began a distanced tackle. "Drew, do not try and dodge it." The Abra looked up at him confused. "Abra?" Looking serious, James nodded solemnly. "Instead, wait till he hits you, then unleash two quick Thunder Punches."Now understanding the plan, Drew watched and waited for the Zigzagoon, it came at him, and right as it ran into him, it didn't hurt as badly as it could have due to the Reflect still in effect. As soon as he was hit, both arms lit up with the electricity again. Simultaneously, both arms were hit into the Zigzagoon. That was a double chance at paralysis, and, while they weren't as powerful of attacks as they could have been, the combination could possibly make it a strong execution. Feeling a shaking in his tacky but necessary back pack, James remembered. He had an egg with him. He had a specially bred it with the Ralts he had received from the Poké Ranch and another trainer's Ralts. The breeders had told him it was Male, which was all he needed to take the egg. He wanted a Gardevoir and Gallade combo, and it would be interesting to see how a mother Ralts would get along with her son. The solemn man silently pulled the egg out, and released the mother Ralts. "Lil, how about you take care of your baby?" Hearing the name, the Ralts picked up on it and decided to satisfy the request. "How long do you think it'll take?" She was apparently relatively impatient. That would make for an aggressive battler, hopefully. "It's not too much of an inconvenience. If we run into any more Pokémon, I promise you can fight, and I'll watch the egg." The answer seemed to be enough, and she assumed the position of a mother. There was no dodging the double hit the Abra dished out and there was no doubting that it hurt too even with the growls the Zigzagoon had displayed earlier. He was reaching his limit and stumbling back again the pokemon found himself falling to his rump tuckered out and ready for a nap. This had been some really hard play, though it didn't stop him from attempting another growl that probably wouldn't do him much good.
Zigzagoon was hit with Thunder Punch. Zigzagoon used Growl. Zigzagoon is open for capture! OOC:I don't see a problem with it. And a double battle would be doable though keep in mind it will take up your last two wild poke slots for this thread as well as that only the pokemon delivering the final blow on either pokemon will get the levels.

James looked at it for a moment, debating to catch it. Seeing at least a little bit of life in it, he decided against it. Plus, there were plenty of Pokémon around to take care of it. "Sorry, Zigzagoon. You put up a good fight, I'm sure you'll make it." Any human watching would probably be astounded. This was the only scenario where he would show any sort of empathy, with Pokémon. James bent down just long enough to give the Zigzagoon a quick pet, and then continued through the area. "Well, how did you feel about that one, Drew?" The Abra looked up at him with happy eyes. "Fun! Fun! Let's do it again!" That was easily the biggest advantage of Psychic Pokémon. They could articulate their thoughts into his mind, and they could actually have conversations. It was great. Never a miscommunication. "I'm glad you feel that way!" Lil seemed to be having some difficulty moving the egg. "I'll take that, Lil." In addition to the Ralts egg he just picked up, James also decided to keep the newer egg he had, an Exeggcute egg, in his other arm. He looked rather...gentle with both eggs in his arms. A very unusual and foreign look for the solitary man. "You look ridiculous. These eggs better hatch soon, eggs are such an inconvenience."James actually smiled and chuckled at his Ralts. She would definitely make for an amazing battler, as well as a funny companion. His team was already expanding so greatly, and it was fantastic. The zigzagoon had been watching from afar having doubled back for his friend. Finding that his fellow Zigzagoon had been felled by a tamed and captured pokemon the pokemon made the decision to jump into battle wanting payback for his friend who'd be resting a while before they could play again. How dare this trainer shorten their play time? Jumping from his hiding spot the Zigzagoon attempted a menacing growl or challenge at the Abra that had recently assaulted (at least in his own mind) his friend.
Seeing the commotion as it wandered about the Bronzor took a slight interest in the trainer and his pokemon. A potential battle of challenge would be a nice little change of pace in his otherwise dull day. Making its way over the Bronzor unlike the Zigzagoon who had thrown itself out there for the opponent hung back a little, watching and waiting prepared to attack if the trainers pokemon came at him.
Zigzagoon used growl. Bronzor is being patient. OOC:I apologize for not getting to this sooner I seem to have managed to miss your post somehow ><

James sighed a bit, not feeling remorse, just boredom with an behavior of these Pokémon. Sure, it was a dick move to faint a Pokémon and leave it, but apparently it had friends that were more than willing to help it. This one would just be another chalk up defeat. Pulling out a Pokéball, James decided that it was about time she partook in this outing. Now, he had his Abra, who wasn't too damaged, and his Ralts out. The growl pierced Drew's ears first, dropping his attack. "All right, Drew, throw up a REFLECT and LIGHT SCREEN around both you and Lil." The barriers went up, protecting them from all types of attacks at least minorly. "And Lil, you GROWL back at that Zigzagoon." And so she did. The second battle had started, but not before another challenger entered the scene. A Bronzor appeared, apparently interested, but not as belligerent. "Guys, I want that Bronzor, we have to catch him!" Both of his Pokémon nodded in agreement. Another Psychic Pokémon, especially a Steel one, would be a fantastic addition. "Lil, use SHADOW SNEAK on him!" Sending out her shadow, she intended to shock the Bronzor with her all-encompassing shadow attack. It grew largely, as it had to, given her small size, and shot at the other Pokémon. "Nice job Lil." The eggs in his arms rocked impossibly gently, signifying that the creatures within felt the pride and excitement in the man, despite his nonchalant facade. James couldn't wait for his other Ralts and Exeggcute, they would make phenomenal additions to the team he currently had. Very quickly had the Unova region proved itself beneficial to the Psychic-heavy trainer. So what if the Abra was trying to defend himself? He would just have to plow through! Revenge fueled his mind, and he was almost unphased by the Ralts' Growl. Bronzor on the other hand, was considering the Abra's actions. They would certainly make attacking more difficult from their end. Still debating on joining the battle or not, the decision was made with the Shadow Sneak attack. Though Lil was small, her attack was a powerful one, especially against a psychic-type like Bronzor. Shivering, the metallic pokemon attacked with it's own move. Shimmering waves of psychic energy flowed from his body, pulsing rapidly as they moved towards the Ralts.
