He would never have a best-friend, no acceptation. Hain would hate to be around someone all the time, his normal encounters with people are one off and don't go positively. She'd probably be someone who loved technology and had a keen interest in learning about Pokémon, not befriending them. Also, many would question his thought on Pokemon and how they should be kept to research and do as humans say. A rival who kept turning up would be even better, and they could always battle and try to change his view of Pokemon, but that might not work... But yeah, give me enemies, lots and lots of them! I can definitely see the two butting heads and having some major disagreements on how to treat Pokemon. But if he witnessed her use compassion with her Pokémon (and not get all stressed out from his casual insults), he'd end up having a conversation with Opal. They might not become friends but I could see him taking a bit of advice from her and thinking about it. Then giving her a call after he changes his ways a bit and they could meet up and battle/chat or whatever! c: [/style]
