SHORT OF BREATH, AND TIRED EYES [NIX] [FINISHED]

[Nix Night]

Nix tilted her head to one side and listened to the other girl speak, her story and nix's had similar parts, a family that disnt care for their daugter and a nanny who had to pick up where they wouldn't. But that was all that was the same, nix had been a strong child from all the knocks she had taken and used her pain to grow, this girl it seemed threw herself in to clothes and fashion as a cover, nix knew the feeling well because she had done the same with throwing herself in to helping pokemon in and out of her family's breeding farm.

She smiled at the end of the story and then nodded down to phantom ,"he stalked me, I started in Kanto and got a boat to sinnoh before I came here and he spotted me there and sneaked on the boat, I was eleven at the time and when it was found he had no trainer and people started to discuss what to do with him, he came running over to me and jumped into my arms and wrapped my t-shirt around himself to hide. We've been together ever since and I'm know to some of the boat crews as the ghost trainer, because they found a ghost of a pokemon and he chose means his partner" she smiled before she smiled down at her pokemon again. "Tain was our second battle, I only want a few pokemon so when I come across one I don't want I use it to train my team, we met a Torkoal first and tommy battled him and then we met tain, his battle was shorter and more direct but we caught him after a bit ,as soon as we spent together he warmed up to us and once I stood in the way of a rogue flame thrower move from a chimchar, then he really came in to his own" nix said before running a finger over her wrist, a small bump of a burn scar was there ,always as a reminder of what she would give for her team

[ELIZABETH CHAIN]

Elizabeth was excited to hear how Nix had met her Pokemon, they seemed to have a great bond, and therefore she believed it would be a great tale. It seemed her Ralts loved her before they met, stalking her, as Nix called it. Then the Deerling... she jumped in front of a flame thrower to protect it! "How heroic," Elizabeth squealed, imagining the whole thing in her head. The fire headed girl, wincing in pain as she saved her own Pokemon from the attack. She began to wonder if she'd do that for any of her Pokemon... if Lulu or Beak were in danger, would she sacrifice herself. Yet, seeing the scar that Nix rubbed automatically made Elizabeth think otherwise. It may be shallow, but if she wanted to model, she couldn't hold a scar like that.

Elizabeth was getting tired, the whole scenario had worn her out, for a normal day never really ended like this. It was strange... but nice. She felt a better connection with both her Pokemon now they'd been through this, and after hearing Nix's stories, she'd look at them in a new way. The pink-haired girl stood up, causes Beak to hover above her for a second, before going back to rest on her.

"Thank you for everything, really, It was so nice of you," She gave a genuine smile and while rearranging her shirt to make it more comfortable. "Anyway, it's getting late, I better be off..." She sighed, it wasn't like she wanted to leave Nix, the girl was nice and it was good to have some company for a while. Elizabeth beamed in joy as she got an idea, "Oh, I know!" She began, pulling out a piece of paper and pen from her bad. "If you take my number, and give me a ring whenever!" She spoke slowly as she had to concentrate on her writing, but handed the paper to the girl. "I'd love to meet up again," Elizabeth said, giving another smile.

[Nix Night]

*now i have to make a phone thread....poop...more hard work*

Nix smiled and then dipped her hand in to her pocket and took out a small phone. It was deep dark purple and had a letter L cut in to the top of it and a letter S wrapped around it with small leaves and branches cutting away from it, very few people knew what the symbol meant and even fewer understood why nix had designed it but it was hers in every way. She nodded her head quickly and then ran a finger along it's edge and then Flicked her finger up and the top of the phone flicked back with a click before nix ran her finger over the keys for a few moments before nodding her head and holding out her hand ,"I'm good to take it now" she said and nodded to the bit of paper in the pink haired girls hand.

Nix had never really used her phone to add people in, she had her best and only real rewind in there and on speed-dial but he was the only number in there and he was like her, he threw himself into training and winning and then after a while got lonely and then would call and they would be on the phone for hours. Nix smiled at the memory of their last call which had been the longest lasting of all of them at 7 hours and 23 mintues but it had been fun. She shook her head and then looked back at thee new freind and smiled at her ,"or I could give you mine" she offered to try and be helpful

[ELIZABETH CHAIN]

Watching as Nix began to go into deep thought once she pulled her phone out, Elizabeth began to ponder what she might be thinking about. Was a phone that much of a confusing matter to her, or was there another story to go with this as well. But Elizabeth didn't plan to find out just now. She could tell Beak was tired, as so was she, and need to find a hotel to stay at soon. The girl seemed to come back to the real world and look back at her, offering to give Elizabeth her number instead. There was no reason to deny this so she nodded and awaited the number. Quickly pulling out a white phone. It looked pretty expensive and anyone could tell she used it often as she barely had to look down to the screen to know what she was doing.

Getting onto her contacts page, Elizabeth awaited the girl to say her number, while writing out her name into the phone. She debated what to put her in, group-wise. Was she classed as a friend or something else? Elizabeth didn't like things being unorganized in her mobile and therefore had to think hard about they query. Finally she decided to put her as 'acquittance' for it was the best she could think of. Who knew, after a few more meet-ups she could call her a 'friend'.

By the way, she quickly added, "I like your hair... I was thinking of going red, but pink suits me more." There was no reason for her to note this information, but Elizabeth had a thing for saying pointless things.

[Nix Night]

Nix flicked through the list on her phone ,there were four numbers in there, Tain and his father jark, her hated brother who left little packets of money with gym leaders as he traveled through the regions on family breeders work. He seemed to believe that nix couldn't support herself but she wasn't one to turn away free money so she took what he left and gave it to other younger trainers when she beat them in battles, it seemed like the better thing to do wih the dirty stuff. She then thumbed down over the last number and twisted the phone round for the other girl ,so she could read it

Nix was forgetful and she knew it ,so of course the red hair had out her own number in her phone ,after forgetting it twice she had thought it only safe to do so. She smiled at her new freinds comment and lifted her free hand up and rain it through her messy red hair and then shook her head ,"messy like this? forgive me If I seem rude by you seem to be one who likes her cloths and her looks and long messy red hair I can happily say, would never suit you" she said with a smile. That was her werid way of saying you look good and don't go changing it because you saw someone wear it better than you ,but nix was far too nice to speak her mind wasn't she. Nope, she was just too lazy and tired to hear any more and she knew the other girl was too, so she was keeping it nice and simple and short

She watched as Nix turned her little phone around, the screen looking bright in the darkening summer sky. She scanned the wording to find what she was looking for, and within seconds saw a few adjacent numbers, and guessing that was Nix's number, began to tap it into her own phone. She gave a smile once she had done this, slipping the phone into her ripped shorts back pocket. It was then that Nix said something that left Elizabeth taken aback. "Messy like this? Forgive me If I seem rude by you seem to be one who likes her cloths and her looks and long messy red hair I can happily say; would never suit you." she didn't seem to mean it offensively, but Elizabeth couldn't help but feel slightly offended. This girl had just questions her... her?! This didn't often like it, and Elizabeth couldn't help but feel taken aback and have the smile drop from her face.

Not wanting to say anything else, Elizbeth made sure she had all her Pokéballs and Beak, then began to walk past Nix. She didn't want the girl to know she was a little annoyed, but then again, why shouldn't she feel hurt like Elizabeth did? "Goodbye. I'll see you when I see you..." She faked a smile and carried on walking. Give it a day and Elizabeth would be over the matter, but right now she didn't realize Nix was not being mean, and indeed simply did as Elizabeth does, and was honest. But the pink-haired girl had never come across someone like that before. Normally people do what they think would make her happy, but... maybe here she would have to learn that not everything was about her. For once she may have to think about others beside herself. Yet, not today. All she had to do now was get out the disgusting route and find a good place to stay. So coming the way she entered, Elizabeth left the grassy area, in-search for a hotel or anything similar.

ELIZABETH HAS LEFT THE THREAD.

[Nix Night]

Nix watched the pink haired girls face drop and as she walked away nix nodded to herself, she had and always would be one who was deadly honest and always told people what she thought of them or or their ideas and she knew people often didn't like it and she had gotten herself in to more than just a few tight spots from it but hey, that was just the way she was. She watched the girl walk away with her pokemon safely away in their balls and nix tilted her head to one side and shook her head ,That was something else that was different about the two for them. Nix liked to have her team out and beside her and with her as much as she could but like many other trainers this girl choose to put them away, nix knew the way she did things was dangerous and the burn scar on her arm told her that evey day but none the less, that was the way she worked

She turned away from the retreating girl and bent over the sleeping pair of pokemon that were her team mates and she picked up phantom, he was still wrapped in the red jumped and nix made a mental note to make sure it became his regular sleeping place. She pulled the sleves up and wrapped them around her neck and tied them in to a knot so that the sleves were around her and made a sort of sling than phantom was sleeping in. She nudged Tain gently with her foot and he opened a sleepy eye and tiled his head to one side ,"we need to find some where to make camp, then we can all sleep" she said with a smile and the deerling nodded his head and stood up slowly and then he started to walk along side his trainer in the opposite direction of the other girl
