So without further thought, the boy walked into Pinwheel forest, Pokédex at the ready to learn anything that came his way. His Snivy lay silently in it's Pokéball, awaiting any orders it was given. Hain couldn't help but skim is hand delicately across hedges as he ventured further in, rustling of wild Pokémon like music to his ears. He gazed into the distance, trying to locate someone that he could inspect and research, but there was nothing. He let out a quick sigh and carried on walking, turning corners in hope that someone new would appear. To his displeasure, nothing did.
Not wanting to carry on into this boring forest by himself, Hain took grip of the red and white sphere attached to his belt. Lifting it, a red light suddenly shone, and his Snivy materialized in front of him, bowing at the sight of his trainer. Hain gave a smile as a praise to his Pokémon, what quickly slipped off his face as he spoke to the Snivy. "Look, I'm bored, and nothing is happening... find something." He voice was sharp and blunt, and the Snivy wasted no time, sprinting off looking for something. Hain now traveled slower, waiting for his Pokémon cry to alert him when something could happen. He didn't want to have to stumble around this humid place for hours just so he could find a wild Pokémon he could research as it battled.
Snivy was always like this for his owner. He would do as he was told and didn't want to try and question Hain's authority. Snivy believed that Pokémon were made to do the bidding of trainers, and without them they were weak and useless. He loved finding wild Pokémon he could mock before his trainer allowed him to defeated them. They were disgusting, living of the wild like cavemen, it made the Snivy feel sick being near them. He couldn't understand why Hain researched their battle tactics, wild Pokémon had none... well not any as good as Snivy's. His thought dropped as a noise occured and he stopped in his tracks, turning around to find the culprit, but was only left with confusion on his face. Must be a flying Pokémon he thought, starting to carry on, looking for trouble.
Hain wondered why his Snivy had not yet found anything, this was a forest wasn't it? He was sure bug pokemon would be swarming the area. "Does it really take his long?" He spat loudily, sure the Snivy would hear. Yet, there was no responce, what left Hain a little more frustrated than he wished to be. It was a sudden thump on the ground that caused him to spin around at lightening-speed, only to see his Snivy standing there, looking apologetic. "Nothing?" Hain question, already knowing the answer. The grass snake Pokémon shook his head in shame, he had let his master down. "Fine," he sighed, looking around for the exit, but decided on otherwise. He slipped down onto the grass, leaning his back against a peeling bark of a tree. The Snivy jumped up it, looking out for anything that may interest his trainer.
Surely a wild Pokémon would appear soon, right? This was Pinwheel forest, so many lived here and for the life of him, Hain couldn't figure out why he had run into none... and more importantly, why Snivy was unable to find anything. The Snivy on the other hand was feeling ashamed, he'd let down his trainer, he was an awful Pokémon and should be punished![/style] | [atrb=style, background: #121212; padding: 10px 35px 0px 10px;][atrb=valign, top] |

A WILD PURRLOIN APPEARED! LEVEL 2 | ABILITY PRANKSTER | MALE MOVES: SCRATCH
It has been a while since the devious little cat pokemon was following the trainer and his Snivy. He wanted to see what the human was carrying in his bag and pockets... Perhaps there was something that could interest him. Seeing the two take refuge near a tree, he stayed crouched low in the grass to avoid being spotted as he crawled forward toward the kid's bag and started pawing it to try and open the bloody thing. Using both paws and mouth to work the zipper...

It was at the point the Purrloin would of been saw by the grass Pokémon, that he tripped and nearly fell from the tree. Quickly slinging is tail up, the Snivy was able to catch himself, and stop a tragic fall. But then again, he deserved the pain from it for letting Hain down. He hung there for a second, considering letting go and punishing himself, but then thought of the consequences. His trainer would think he was clumsy and might release him... then Snivy would just be another wild Pokémon. He spat at the thought of that and flung himself back to the top of the tree. By this time, the Purrloin was out of sight and Snivy was non the wiser that the feline was attempting to steal from his trainer.
Hain was reading a small book that held the map of Unova on the front of it. The letters on the cover made out the title "Pokémon and their homes: Unova edition." It was a favorite of Hain's and gave him much information on where to find a Pokémon if he was specifically looking for one. Yet instead, he used the glossary to find all pages that had the word 'Pinwood' so he could see which Pokémon resisted in this place. It wasn't as detailed as he wished, but had a little bit of information he could read to pass the time until he Snivy found something for them to research. Every so often, he had to lift his glasses back up his nose as they slowly slipped down. Behind them, his eye's dropped after time, closing un-willingly.
A irritating noise caused Hain to twitch and let out a little moan. Seconds later he jumped forward, realizing he had been asleep and he was not actually a big cheese-ball, it was simply a dream. His eye's scanned the area and he guessed that Snivy still was on lookout. But then suddenly a blur caught his eye. Turning to his side, where his bag lay, a Pokémon looked as if it was trying to get inside. Hain backed away and without thought pulled his Pokédex out. He of course knew it was a Purrloin, but he hadn't recorded one in his Pokédex yet. It seemed to want something from his bag. Hain then wondered where Snivy was, and why he hadn't warned him of the wild Pokémon. "Snivy." He spat upward, awaiting the grass Pokémon to return his call. Quickly it flung itself from the tree, landing in-front of his trainer with a respectful, yet puzzledd look. Not saying any thing, Hain pointed at the cat Pokémon and flicked his hand. Automatically Snivy turned around and saw the Purrloin, and took the hand movement as indication to attack.
Eying the disgusting creature, Snivy smirked. This wasn't going to be too hard. He could tell it wasn't as strong as him, and being wild was probably completely stupid. Reassuringg his thought, Hain began to read, not removing his eyes from his Pokédex, "It's young, so I'll guess it'll only know one or two moves," his voice was mocking and confident. He pulled the Pokédex to his side and pondered on what move to use, while Snivy kept watch on the Purrloin. "Let's try a magical leaf, but make it interesting would you? I'm bored." It was as if the battle was a big show for Hain, he loved to see how they battled and thencriticizee everything they did wrong. "Sniv," said the grass Pokémon in agreement, rushing to the tree on his left, and taking stand on a branch just above the Pokémon and Hain's bag. His tail whipped out infront of him and as if by magical began to glow with multiple colors. Before long, leaves flung from it, aimed right at the Purrloin. Snivy jumped down waiting to see if the attack has hit his enemy. Hain had got his notepad and pen from his pocket, ready to write anything down that interested him during the battle, what he guessed wouldn't be long.

A WILD PURRLOIN APPEARED! LEVEL 2 | ABILITY PRANKSTER | MALE MOVES: SCRATCH
Oh shit! The boy jumped and Purrloin's heart had skipped a beat, he froze wishing that he wouldn't be caught in mid theft. However, that wish did not come true today at all... He gave a sly smile to the trainer, meowing coyly to try and charm his way out of this one. Rounding his eyes and flicking his tail slowly to tone side, it was a Purrloin's instinct to try and cute themselves out of trouble. So far, nothing was going his way at all. Rainbow colored leaves suddenly bombarded him from above, a powerful attack that had him seeing stars for a moment.
Not wishing to go down so easily, using the tree trunk as leverage; and being quite the agile little thing. He bounced off the trunk to try and land a [SCRATCH] on the Snivy in the branch above.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=autoflow,true][atrb=valign, top][atrb=style, color: #ececec;][style=text-align: right; font-family: arial black; margin-right: 0px; letter-spacing: 1px; font-size: 30px; color: #121212; line-height: 20px;]ICANNOTSLEEP IFICANNOTSTAY[/style] [style=font-size: 10px; margin: 5px 5px 5px 10px; text-align: justify; margin-top: -10px; line-height: 9px;]Hain had been watching the Purrloin carefully during the time that it noticed them, to when the Magical leaf hit. It was a sly Pokémon, obviously, being able to get past Snivy's gaze, and then it was trying to sweet it's way out of trouble. Yet, Hain knew these Pokémon had something strangely intriguing about them. He could feel this, the Pokémon just seemed to be so much more interesting than anything else at the moment, and he couldn't help but want it. It could be part of his team, it would distract Pokémon while he researched them, perfect partners.
It was then that the Purrloin began to jump up the tree, claws at the ready to attack Hain's Snivy. The Grass type knew this, and tried to move away. but the feline was fast, and just caught his side as he went to leap down. Instead he fell, but caught himself like previously on the branch with his leaf-like tail. He hung there and looked at the Pokémon, waiting for another command. Hain on the other hand was deep in thought, but then broke out of this trance. He knew it was a dark type, so Snivy's Pursuit would not lay as much damage as needed. "Go for a good ol' leer, then tackle!" He winked at his Pokémon, who winked back, flinging itself back up from the branch.
While in the air, getting ready to land, he stared down the Purrloin. He was hoping to intimidate the creature and make it feel so unable of doing anything. His eyes like a portal to a world of insecurity and doubt. He finally landed on the branch, blinking and stopping his leer attack. It was there that he feigned another fall from the tree they were on. And climbed the bottom of the branch to get behind the cat Pokémon, from there he tried to use his tackle, hoping the Pokémon didn't know his plan.
Pen to paper, Hain was analyzing everything the Purrloin did; where it looked, how it moved, the noises it made. And each time something new was written, he couldn't help but want the Pokémon more and more. It was skillful and would be a great addition to his team. Yet, he didn't want Snivy knowing and then going easier on his soon to be teammate. Instead he watched his grass type try and attack the creature, using his speed and level advantage. Plus, they both knew the Purrloin was too low of a level to know any attacks that would effect Snivy deadly amounts.

Swallowing several times, the Leer was quite frightening. His tail swung from one side to the other nervously as he tried to regain composure. In his moment of freight, he had let the grass Pokemon slip from his attention. A rookie mistake seeing as the thing had snuck up from behind.
The world started to spin and he had just no energy left to counter attack. With a tired meow, the Purrloin collapsed from exhaustion.

Snivy smirked at the Pokémon, ready to finish it off with the next attack that his trainer commanded. Yet, to his surprise; Hain said nothing and simply slipped his hand into the bag on the ground. From it he pulled out a Pokéball. What was he planning to do with this?
Without a word spoken, the boy flung the red and white sphere into the air, where a red light suddenly flashed over the Purrloin. In materialized back into the sphere, which then flew to the ground. Shaking a couple times, it finally gave out a ding. The cat Pokémon was his. It would be a great addition to the team. Snivy just stared at his trainer and the recently caught Pokémon. It was sly and fast, but weak... was this such a great idea of Hain's? Snivy began to feel overshadowed by the cat, did he prefer it to him? No way, no one would take away to pride that Hain had in his Snivy, not even a Purrloin.
He picked up the sphere and put it onto his belt, looking to Snivy about to call him down. Suddenly, a couple vines wrapped around the Grass type Pokémon. He struggled and began to panic, what on earth was this? It was then that Hain noticed one of the vines was red... a Carnivine. It was using a bind attack!
"Snivy, while you're in close combat, use Pursuit and get out of it's grip!" Hain called up, for the first time his voice showed a bit of emotion. He didn't care for the emotions of his Snivy, but he didn't want to lose it to a stupid Carnivine. They were all about attack, no speed, meaning Snivy had an advantage there. Yet his great magical leaf attack would deal near to no damage of the Pokémon.
Snivy did as Hain shouted, and began to charge up his pursuit attack, hoping it would cause the enemy's grip to loosen and him to get out. He shook himself, and finally let out his attack.

Just as he was about to try and bring the little grass pokemon to his paing mouth; the thing had hit him with a Pursuit. Okay, now he was just more mad than anything. The pursuit did infact help loosen the plant's grip on the Snivy... Forcing its body to expand, the Carnivine used [GROWTH].
