Rufflet | Normal/Flying-Type | Level 6 | Male | Hustle Peck | Leer | Fury AttackBarely able to move, the eagle stood no chance of escaping the pokeball once he was enveloped. Still, he struggled for a moment, not ready to give. The ball rocked back and forth a few times, before finally coming to a stop. A soft click indicated that the flying-type had been captured. You caught a Rufflet! Caterpie | Bug-Type | Level 1 | Male | Run Away Tackle | String ShotHaving been attacked part way through his meal, the Rufflet had left a few pieces of riceball laying on the ground. It wasn't much, but the commotion and the smell had attracted a small caterpillar-like pokemon. The Caterpie cooed happily as it found the food, munching on a few stray grains of sticky rice. Wild Caterpie Appeared!

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #DA8994;] elizabeth The pokeball shook a couple times, but eventually gave a click of success. Elizabeth grinned and skipped over to where the battle has commenced. Lulu had begun touching the sphere and hugging it. If her pouch was any bigger, the Happiny would have tried to put it in there. Yet, instead she carried on inspecting it. Suddenly, another red light appeared, it seemed Lulu had clicked the elevated button. The red light materialized into the Rufflet. It turned it's head, looking more rested and happy. He chirped a little and hovered around Elizabeth, who gave a little giggle. "Well, you're quite giddy, aren't you?" He landed on her should and rubbing his head against hers affectionately. "I'mma call you beak!" The Rufflet nodded in agreement and flew down toward the Happiny, seeming to congratulate her on the battle. Lulu blushed and turned away, trying to be modest.
In the midst of all of this, another Pokemon had appeared. "Rufflet!" Beak cried at sight of the bug, eying it to be sure it didn't do anything. "Ew! a bug!" Screech the pink-haired girl, giving a disgusted look as the Caterpie begun to eat the leftover of foods. Elizabeth looked to her new Pokemon, and back at the bug.
"Please, get rid of it, use a peck attack, Beak!" Elizabeth didn't care for this Caterpie, she just hoped Beak could defeat it quickly, it was ugly, but would be good training for the Rufflet. The eagle Pokemon flew into the air, not very high, and looked at it's victim. Both Lulu and her trainer backed away, waiting for Beak to attack. He flung himself at the Caterpie, ready to smash his own beak into the bug. There was a big type advantage here, it shouldn't be too difficult for the Rufflet. s u m m a r y : rufflet used peck |

Caterpie | Bug-Type | Level 1 | Male | Run Away Tackle | String ShotThe small bug didn't even have time to react before the peck hit him, hard. He was so young..all he had wanted was a quick bite of the leftover food, but this trainer had sent a flying-type after him. There was no way such a young bug-type, and he fell as soon as the attack hit. It seemed the trainer had no interest in this pokemon, would she finish him off? Caterpie was hit by PECK [Super Effective] Caterpie was weakened! (Level 6 Rufflet vs level 1 Caterpie. XD' Sorry that was so quick.)

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #DA8994;] elizabeth The already weak bug Pokemon was hit dead on by the peck attack, and caused Elizabeth to jump in joy. Bug Pokemon made her feel sick, unless they were cute of course, but this one was just icky! She watched Rufflet back off, staring at his victim who was too weak to attempt an attack. Lulu on the other hand felt a bit of sympathy for the Caterpie, it had done nothing wrong, maybe Elizabeth was in the wrong, but she didn't want to question her trainer when she was already upset. Instead the Happiny turned around, not wanting to watch the rest of the battle. It wasn't fair, all the Pokemon wanted was some food... but perhaps this was how things worked in the wild Pokemon world.
Elizabeth, on the other hand, was ready to see the Caterpie be defeated by her new, brave, Pokemon. "Finish the thing off with a Fury attack!" She was a lot more confident now the bug was weakened and not able to do anything. Beak did as he was told and flew back toward the caterpillar Pokemon, getting ready to use it's beak against it multiple times until it fainted and lost the not-so-surprising short battle. Elizabeth once again had her nails in her mouth, ready to bite them, yet found this difficult as they had been biten a lot already. It seemed she'd have to try give up this habit as this journey left her doing it a lot, due to all the heart-pounding moments. s u m m a r y : rufflet used fury attack [and omg that was so hard to write 250 words, i only just did it, stupid caterpie ;~;] |

Caterpie | Bug-Type | Level 1 | Male | Run Away Tackle | String ShotThe fury attack pounded into the Caterpie, knocking the small bug back. He was finished, having been knocked out cold by the Rufflet's brutal attack. Caterpie was hit by FURY ATTACK Caterpie has Fainted! Beak gained one level! Meowth | Normal-Type | Level 3 | Female | Technician Scratch | GrowlNearby, a cat-like pokemon was eying the trainer and her team, her eyes wide and happy. The jewel on her head shone brightly in the sunlight, as did her large, sparkling, eyes. She had spotted something she wanted, and was waiting for the right moment. As the trainer and her pokemon finished off the Caterpie, the agile feline made her move. Running swiftly behind the trainer. She gently plucked a small object off of the ground, something shiny and beautiful that had fallen from Elizabeth's bag. Despite her attempts to be quiet, the Meowth could not suppress the happy little 'Meoow!' at having found something so good. Wild Meowth Appeared! (Feel free to make the shiny object whatever you see fit, be it just a simple coin or something more important. c: )

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #DA8994;] Proud that her Rufflet had defeated the disgusting bug Pokemon, Elizabeth beckoned him over, stroking him under his neck. Beak gave a chirp of satisfaction, closing his eyes as if it would make the warm feeling enhance. Lulu, on the other hand was still a little upset that both of them were so mean toward the Caterpie. She didn't look Elizabeth in the eye and instead waddled around them, waiting till something happened. It wasn't excited anymore since she defeated the Rufflet, now it seemed her trainer was paying more attention to Beak than she was her, how unfair!
As if it knew that Lulu was bored, a Meowth came out from the bushes, grabbing the necklace that had fallen from Elizabeth bag not long before. "Happiny!" she called out, trying to grab her trainers attention, she may not be happy with her, but there was no way she was letting the thieving cat Pokemon escape. Elizabeth turned to see what all the noise was about as the Meowth cried out. She gasped and was lost the words, that was her favorite piece of jewelery, her grandma had given it to her when she turned fourteen. It held a ruby at the center and her it came with a story. It was said that when the Pokemon world was formed, the god Arceus placed this Ruby at the center of the earth were it possessed powers to control any fire type Pokemon. Elizabeth obviously new this wasn't true for she'd seen in it Goldenrod City's department store the week before and couldn't keep her eyes off it. And now this cat was getting away with it!
"Lulu, stop it! Use Pound" It was the only thing she could think to shout, and the Happiny did as she was told. Chasing after the Meowth, ready to bring down the weight of her body on the thief, how dare they steal from Elizabeth! s u m m a r y : happiny used pound |

Meowth | Normal-Type | Level 3 | Female | Technician Scratch | GrowlToo preoccupied with her new treasure, the Meowth did not notice the Happiny's attack until it was too late. The Pound hurt, but the cat was not letting Lulu get away with that! This was her shiny now, no one was taking it from her. Standing defensively over the necklace, Meowth scratched at the Happiny. She wasn't a big, strong, pokemon, but she was good at using the moves she knew. Meowth was hit by POUND Meowth used SCRATCH (1.5x attack from Technician)

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #DA8994;] Elizabeth had ignored her new Rufflet and instead was now interested in the Meowth that had tried to steal her ruby necklace. She watched in anticipation as the Happiny charged at the thief, her body meeting his and dealing some damage on the cat Pokemon. She was proud with Lulu, as Lulu was herself. Her trainer was now paying attention to her and not that stupid new bird she'd caught. She turned to Elizabeth and gave a smile but this meant to opponent had a chance to attack. He brought his claws out, scratching Lulu with an attack that seemed more strong than it should. Taking the attack like a true Pokemon, the Happiny glared at the cat, it seemed strong, but she was sure she could take it.
Elizabeth on the other hand questioned Lulu's strength. She'd just been in a battle with Beak, so this battle may be harder than it would have been in normal circumstances. But ignoring the disadvantage she looked at her pink Pokemon and tried to give an encouraging smile, before calling out, "Okay sweety, Copycat, give the stupid Meowth a taste of it's own medicine!" she spat the Pokemon's name, not only was it a thief, it was pretty damn ugly as well. Elizabeth couldn't wait for it to be defeated and get her precious necklace back.
Lulu nodded at her command, turning back to the Meowth as a faint glow surrounded her small hands. Little claws formed, as she ran back at the enemy, ready to cut him like he had done her. Beak just hovered around her trainer, watching the battle. He knew from experience that the Happiny was a strong Pokemon, and therefore expected a close battle like they had had. s u m m a r y : happiny used copycat - scratch |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #DA8994;] It seemed like the Meowth wasn't planning on moving anywhere, as he wanted to stand his ground and protect the Necklace that Elizabeth's grandmother had brought her. That along with the Happiny were the only things she had to remember her family. Lulu knew this, and therefore didn't want Elizabeth to lose it this easily! Knowing the cat Pokemon was reluctant to move Happiny could use this to her advantage. But as she had landed her Scratch attack, so did the Meowth, leaving another cut down her little arm. Bearing the pain, Lulu leaped back, and without being ordered decided it was time to try something else. She started to use her Charm attack, trying to make the Meowth's attacks less powerful then they had been. The Happiny seemed like such a less of a threat toward anything and a lot cuter, and suddenly Elizabeth knew what was going on. "Oh, you're using your charm?" She muttered, half addressing the Pokemon, half thinking out loud.
Lulu got ready to attack again, and knowing what her Trainer was going to call out got ready. "Pound, Lulu. Get my necklace!" She shouted, as if the Happiny didn't know what she was fighting for. Without hesitating the pink Pokemon charged again, not bothering to try and confus the charmed Meowth as it didn't seem like it wanted to dodge any attack and risk letting anyone get her treasure. She repeated what she had done many other times and jumped up, wanting to make this attack count against the feline. She knew another scratch attack would probably come after this, and therefore got ready for that to hit as well, but knew it wouldn't be as-painful now. "Happpppiny!" She cried out, as if it was some kind of battle cry.
Elizabeth was still scared for her Happiny, sure it showed she was able to battle, but she has hurt... a lot. She only hoped lowering the Meowth's attack would give Lulu enough time to defeated the thief before he knocked her out. s u m m a r y : happiny used charm & pound |

Meowth | Normal-Type | Level 3 | Female | Technician Scratch | GrowlThe Charm certainly made Lulu look cuter to the Meowth, but she was still determined to fight back. Subconciously she held back, part of her not wanting to hurt the cute little Happiny now. She swung her claws out again for another Scratch attack. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #DA8994;] The battle had seemed to repeat itself. Happiny went in and attacked the Meowth, he came back with another scratch attack, but a lot weaker after Lulu had used her charm attack. She could tell the Meowth was hurt, but she was too in pain, the wounds all over her body throbbing and stinging. Elizabeth looked at her Pokemon sympathetically, not wanting the Happiny to carry on in this state. But she could tel by the determination on Lulu's face that she wouldn't give up until knocked out, for she knew the necklace was precious. So backing away, Lulu winced at the pain, but carried on attempted to ignore it.
Elizabeth bite her lip, debating if she should let her Pokemon carry on, but she knew that Lulu wanted to do this. "Use your pound once again Lulu, hang in their!" She cried, almost getting teary for her hurt Happiny. The pink Pokemon began to run at the Meowth, angered that he had caused this pain and also had the nerve to steal from her trainer, no one disrespected Elizabeth like that, no one!
Jumping into the air, Lulu flung back down, trying to cause more pain than her previous attack had, this cat Pokemon deserved it. But could she take another scratch attack? It was then that Elizabeth realized what she could do, going through her bag she found what was the source of her idea. A potion. When the Happiny had come back from the attack, she could use it to heal her wounds if she was able to withstand one more attack. Crossing her fingers, the pink-haired watched, trying not to turn away when the Meowth would attack her Pokemon again. s u m m a r y : happiny used pound |

Meowth | Normal-Type | Level 3 | Female | Technician Scratch | GrowlPreparing once again, the Meowth raised her paw. Lulu was coming in for another Pound, and the wild pokemon was planning to swing her claws down once more. Luckily for the Happiny, the extra effort put into this attack was too much for the cat. She weakly batted her paw at Lulu, but it just lightly tapped the pink pokemon before Meowth collapsed. A sad meow escaped her. She had lost the battle and her shiny finding. Meowth was hit by POUND Meowth has fainted! Lulu gains one level!Route 1 was beginning to look empty. Maybe the commotion from the battles had scared away the rest of the wild Pokemon, but nothing more seemed to be approaching.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #DA8994;] Lulu slammed into the Cat Pokemon, and watched as it tried to react, but seconds late fell to the ground, knocked out. Proud of herself she began to dance about, running toward her Trainer. Elizabeth's face brightened as a smile grew on it. She scooped up the Happiny he was singing at the top of her lungs for about five seconds before falling to sleep. The poor thing was probably tired after all the battling and needed to rest. Grabbing Lulu's Pokeball she returned it, allowing it to heal in there.
She almost forgot about the necklace on the floor until Beak began to fly around it. She skipped up to it and put it around her neck, thinking it would be a lot safer when she wore it instead of leaving the precious thing in her bag on the floor. Beak chirped happily at his new trainer and she got her bag and began to walk about. The route looked pretty empty and she decided to head off to the close city. There she could take her Pokémon to the Pokécenter and maybe get something to eat and find a place to sleep. There was no way she'd camp like many other trainers, imagine all the bugs that might pop out on her and try to touch her, it would be horrible!
She grabbed the Pokéball that she'd used to capture the Rufflet before and allowed him to go back inside. It was better for her to have her Pokemon in the spheres instead of next to her. Sure Elizabeth loved them and all, but they got in the way a lot of the time. She just needed time alone to travel Unova and think. Once she found a hotel she'd let them out. Yet, for now she looked for the exit of the route, decided she was definitely done her. s u m m a r y : elizabeth left the thread. |
