» PERSONALITY: Like most young Fire-type Pokémon, Kenneth's Charmander has a brash temperament that often borders on pure foolishness. He is fierce and violent to a fault, and he loves a chance to show off his power. He doesn't really like acknowledging his own limitations, but he does have them and may grow nervous if he is pushed too close to them. Because he is young and a starter, he is easily controlled by his Trainer, whose stabilizing influence helps to keep him in line.

Incidentally, she is a bit hypocritical; she does not appreciate anyone judging her based on her physical weakness, but she is all too quick to think of anyone less intelligent than her as an idiot.

It takes a lot of effort to get any substantial reaction out of him, and he is quickly irritated by the persistence of those who try; however, he is not incapable of friendship and is willing to spend some of his limited energy on those he likes. When he battles, he likes to get it over with quickly so that he can go back to sleep, but he is not particularly competitive or passionate himself.
