The sound had come from a Venipede that was crossing the path just ahead of Theodore. He had just emerged from the bushes and had as of yet not noticed the trainer. It didn't take long for the growling to tip the bug-type off. The feelers on top of his head twitched for a moment before he turned to face Siria and her trainer. That was a fire-type! A challenge! Fighting was something this pokemon loved, he wouldn't back down even if he was at a type disadvantage. He would prove his strength yet again. Preparing himself for battle, he curled up his body to brace for the Growlithe's attack with a DEFENSE CURL.
