The Deerling could feel the effects of the confuse ray immediately. Although, he was sure to make sure that his tackle tried landing right on the Ralts before giving in. Then, the felt himself try to use tackle once more, but instead of running into the Ralts, he ran head first into a tree. Ouch!

Nix saw phantom start the move but he was hit hard by the on coming deerling and was thrown back, nix bit her lip and then rushed forwards and quickly ran over to her partners side. He stood up and brushed himself down and then looked at her as if to tell her not to worry so much, but nix did, and always did. She opened her bag that was hanging off her sholder and took out her only full heal and looked at it and then bit down on her lip again and shook her head, "we wanna have him join us" she said to herself. She held the full heal out and then flicked up the press on one side of it and pressed down on the top and the spray came out and washed over phantoms burned back, it took a moment but soon the burns healed up and phantom batted the now empty full heal away and then pressed his hands together again. Nix took a step back as he sent the shadow sneak blasting in to the side of the deerling and nix reached out and picked up the empty full heal and put in it her pocket, "we dont litter, now matter how in to a battle we are" she said qietly before turning her head back to the battle, "shadow sneak and then will'o'wisp buddy" she said and then smiled, she was so happy none of phantoms moves were direct ones sometimes, it saved him being hurt or coming too close to the other pokemon and then getting hurt

The Deerling was getting buffeted around more so than normal, he could feel te energy dwindling every time he was hit with another of the little pest's attacks. Although, he was going to continue fighting until he had no energy left, that was for sure. The Deerling ran at the Ralts with a tackle once again, but yet again his vision failed him as he tripped over a rock and into another tree. . . Again.

Nix saw the deerling come running at phantom and was about to call out to him to move or doge or attack bu the deerling stepped down wrong on a stone in front of her partner and trped over taking a heavy stumble. Nix couldnt help but wince as she saw the poor thing charge head first in to a tree and then she shook her head a little bit, "focus nixie, tommy is taking this better than you" she said in a low voice and then she nodded her head a little

"tommy, use shadow sneak again and mate, we're nearly there buddie, i think" she called out, making sure to lower her voice when she said the latter half of the sentence. She was over joyed at the idea of getting another new member on the team already and the pokeball was itching in her hand but she knew she had to stay focused, her head all all over the place today.

She lifted her free hand and ran it through her messy red hair and then shook herhead at her own stupidity, she then dropped the hand and picked her her black ribbon from her belt and threaded it through her hair and pulled it back in to a long pony tail and smiled, "much better" she said with a grin before looking back to see phantom let his move loose and send it straight at the deerling which was still stumbling about

The Deerling was close to exhaustion, so close that he felt the sudden urge to run away. But he knew that he shouldn't. He had to finish this battle for than anything. So, he did the only sensible thing left to do. He charged at the small pokemon, this time nothing was in his way, and the confusion was even starting to lighten up.

DEERLING SNAPPED OUT OF CONFUSION!

Nix slid her thumb over the smooth pokeball in her right hand and then quickly and sharply nodded her head as the deerling came running at phantom again and he let loose another shadow sneak that smashed in to the grass type hard on its side and knocked it back a little but it came on running all the same. nix curled her free hand in to a fist, "tommy, you use shadow sneak again, as soon as its close enough to get a dead on hit, where you cant miss at all, use the power of its attack to fuel the blast, then make sure the blast forces it back in to one of the trees around us" she called out and she bit down hard on her lip once again

She saw the deerling come closer to phantom and she watched phantom press his small hands together and the long dark shadow reached out from his hands and blast forwards, but it didnt have far to go as the deerling was almost right next to him now but the move was a direct hit. Just like nix had planned, but now he was almost certainly going to take a hit from the deerling now and nix knew phantom could be stubborn and knew he would keep battling until he really couldnt, but she was the kind of trainer who treated her pokemon like family, and she hated seeing him get hurt. Even seeing the deerling keep crashing in to trees kind of set her worrys off

That was the last straw. There was no more fight left in the little deer pokemon, and when he was hit with the black move he did, indeed, go skidding back into a tree and crumpled to the ground in an exhausted heap.

Nix ran her finger over the pokeball in her hand and then shook herself, she lowered her hand and took a deep breath and then looked down at phantom. "stop now, the poor thing is almost out and we want him with us" she said softly and she saw phantom drop his hands to his sides and nod, nix gripped the ball tightly in her hand and then felt her pulse race. Her heart seems to hammer at her ribs and she felt her face go warm, this was her first ever capture, she had pokemon freinds from the forests where she had grown up but they only ever followed her by choice when she was around, this would be the first pokemon she ever caught

She took another deep breath and then tossed the ball forwards ,"go pokeball" nix said in a weak and wobbling voice, her excitement was so much that now she was nervous. The pokeball flew across the small gap between her and the wild pokemon and bumped on top of the deerling, the pokemon filtered in to a red light and nix curled her hands in to fists and crossed her fingers inside them and felt her arms go tense and her legs freeze. She wanted to chatch this one pokemon so badly, there were so few in the world she wanted but this one and is evolution was one of them and she really did not want this capture to fail on her now

The Meowth was just walking down the route, head straight towards the duo of Ralts and girl. She had no clue what she was about to walk in on. . .

Nix watched the red light on the pokeball blink and she grinned and then threw her hands up in the air and laughed in relief, "holy rabbits and fishy sticks, we got one!" she yelped and then she ran over to phantom and hugged him and then picked up her pokeball from where it had landed and ran her finger over its edge. She had already cut in a letter T on the ball and had carved what looked like leaves and branches around it, she had always known what she had wanted for that ball and now she had it, a male deerling, with the right ability and all!

She heard something move behind her and she gently put phatom down again and then lifted the pokeball up and clicked it in to place on her belt and smiled, "tommy, do you want to keep training or should i let tain out and give him some power and then let him train up?" she asked her partner. She had a rare candy in her bag that she was planning on useing on the other pokemon if phantom did want to train so she really didnt mind what happened, phantom pointed towards a shadow in the bushes and nix smiled and nodded her head as a small meowth came out and nix curled her hand in to a fist again, "lets start with confused ray matie, then use mean look" she called out and she saw her partner press his small hands together once again

The next thing she knew, the Meowth couldn't see straight. And it didn't help that suddenly she saw what was probably the scariest face on the face of this planet, which glued her to the spot. Whatever was coming next, she didn't know. What she did know, however, was that she was scared. Very scared.

MEOWTH FLINCHED

Nix smiled a little as she saw the meowth freeze and she flexed her fingers a little before breaking in to a grin, "phantom, use shadow sneak now and then get close and use confused ray" she shouted out and she saw phantom stumble forwards a little until he was within what would have been a human reaching distance of the other pokemon and then he pressed his hands together and sent a bolt of shadows in to the small pokemon

It went tumbling back a little from the close hit but phantom was already working on his second move as it seemed to shake of the fear from the mean look, nix knew the little thing could not leave the battle now since her pokemon had used the move and she was rather happy that it had worked so well too. A thought crossed her mind, she could pull phantom back and send in tain now but then again, tain was weak and nix was getting short on funds when it came to money so she nodded her head, phantom could finished this battle for her. She had a bit of a feeling that his first confused ray had missed or not worked quite so well so that was why she had asked him to do it again but she was a little worried, he was now very close to the other pokemon and if it used something close contact now he would take a heavy hit, and she knew it

The Meowth was still glued to the spot when the confuse ray hit, except now he felt a haze settle over his vision. Quickly, he struck out with a scratch, but ended up hitting himself instead! Although, he payed little to no attention, as he growled at the offender.

Nix felt her whole body flinch as the meowth reached out to use scratch but the small thing ended up usinghe love on itself and nix nodded her head and then curled her hand in to a fist ,"phantom, use confusion now" she called out. She and phantom had been training use shadow sneak to get his focus brilliant so that when he leveled up to level six and was able to learn confusion the move would be stronger and have better aim because they had worked on using the basics from it before hand and weren't just using it for the first time ever. Once again he pressed his small hands together and nix watched his eyes glow a bright purple and then he trust his hands out and nix saw the same light wrap around the meowth

She did bit down on her lip as the meowth used growl, she no longer had that move as one of her teams possible moves as it was really the only one that phantom had known and wanted to get rid of so it had gone. But now he couldn't use it back so his attack would now remain lower than it would normally be ,"use shadow sneak again afterwards buddy" she called out as phantom snapped his hands to one side and the meowth followed in the same direction

The Mewoth was hit by the multiple attack, all the while the one thing in her mind was simple. What did she do? Honestly, she was just walking down the route, minding her own business, when all of a sudden she started getting attacked! Just as the last thought went through her mind, the shadow sneak move hit her head on, and she toppled to the ground, defeated.
