There were huge rocks, that one could easily call a boulder, and logs from fallen dead trees all over the place. Without thinking about it he leaped from the grassy edge onto one of the rocks, his arms flung out as support and the main source of his balance. The smell that had reached his nose was absolutely horrible and he couldn't help be gag and slap both of his hand over his face. The sudden change in position left Hain struggling to keep himself up-right on the sloped rock. But after a minute or two of re-balancing himself, the boy was able to hop from rocks to logs to look for something eye catching.
He reached down to his waist, feeling the two spheres that resisted there. He debated which Pokémon who would let out to have a look around for him. The Snivy would be able to quickly jump around the ground and see anything interesting. Yet, his new Rufflet, that was traded from a girl, could get a bird's eye view of the area and travel quickly. After a second of questioning the Pokémon's advantages, he went with Snivy. Tugging on his belt the sphere fell to his hand, where with one quick swift movement the grass type was released from the Pokéball. He gave a bow, as he did each time was allowed out to survey the area. Without being told what to do he began to leap from one rock to another, scanning the area with his sharp eyes and not losing balance even once. His swiftness impressed Hain, he knew his Pokémon was very skillful, and that was why he liked him.
The Rufflet, on the other hand, wasn't as obedient as Snivy and was only kept due to it's strength and helpfulness. Plus he knew when it evolved he would be very happy with the result. He had to give the eagle Pokémon time to grow accustom to Hain's training and researching techniques. Hain was more of a tactical battler, learning his opponents moves and how they fight, he found it easy to battle. Yet, the boy relies too much on technology and studies and doesn't seem to understand that Pokémon are not slaves and some things are simply unexplainable. But for now, all he wanted was to discover every Pokémon and learn all he could about Unova.
Snivy finally returned from his journey and sprinted to his trainer who was lost in thought. He looked down to his Pokémon after realizing it was there, "Well..." he questioned, waiting for the Snivy to say or do something. He simply tugged on the trainer's jeans and pointed to where he had come from, before running towards it again. Hain followed eagerly, not being able to wait to see what the grass Pokémon had found.
Upon turning a corner he noticed another entrance to the route, where the Snivy had climbed a yet to fall tree and seemed to be watching something, well someone. Hain walked toward the edge of the route, finally noticing a person who had seemed to be walking around there, her bright red hair noticeable from quite a far distance. "Oi, Snivy! Back." He cried, to the tree. His voice would of been loud enough for the girl to hear him. Snivy sped back to his trainer's side, quietly hissing under his breathe, not breaking his gaze from the trainer.[/style] | [atrb=style, background: #121212; padding: 10px 35px 0px 10px;][atrb=valign, top] |

Nix sat beside one of the pools in the marsh and watched her boys play. Tain was currently the target and was coated in mud so his pink fur was barely visible, in the same way phantom was also brown but his red horn was clear and mud free. Nix herself was sitting in a low branch that was growing off one of the many trees that lined the marsh and she had her pokedex out and was sifting through the files on it to see what else she could spot while she was here. She was swinging back and forth on the rather springy branch and every few moments she would go too far and the branch would creak and she would have to reach up and grab the branch above her and steady herself again.
She did like water types ,hence the reason she had come out this way. Next to dark and physic types they were her favourite pokemon type ,but she didn't like the unova water types very much at all. They were just, well ugly and she didn't see any good moves or combinations she could use with or from them so she didn't really like them and there was no need to put in an effort to make them better as they had no really good moves either. She had always wanted her own squirtle and she even knew what she would name him and what moves she would let him learn when she got him but she was working on the actual getting one part. She lifted a hand up and ran it through and messed it up a little as she heard a shout and she raised her head, she looked around for the owner of the voice but could only see trees and mud. There was the path she had walked up but she couldn't see any one on it, or was that odd shadow of a shape actually another human or trainer?
She leaned forwards and let her feet touch down on the grass coated ground and then looked about for her shoes and socks. She had taken them off when she had sat down and now she could see her bag hanging up against the tree on the same branch she had been sitting on and her cost hanging over the same branch as well but her shoes? Those she could not seem to see or find anywhere, and those she really kind of needed to keep walking

He then noticed two filthy creatures with her. They both seemed to be covered in mud and various things that came from the swamp, causing the boy to cringe. "How grotesque," he muttered, looking down to his Snivy. Although he had a burning hatred for wild Pokémon, Snivy also disliked these two. Did they have no self respect? But why was his trainer watching this girl and her Pokémon, surely he'd want to do something with them by now? Had Snivy found something Hain didn't care about? He panicked in case his trainer began to shout as his bad surveying of the area, but before long Hain spoke.
"Why don't we go say..." he paused and took a couple steps forward, "...Hello." He ventured further toward the girl, Snivy following by his side. He was sure this girl was someone who loved her Pokémon as many fools did. Letting them embarrasses themselves and act like they would in the wild... How silly of her. Maybe he would have to show the girl what a real Pokémon was like, and how it should behave, unlike hers. After a minute of walking, he'd made it to the tree where is Snivy had spotted the trainer. He waved a hand to try catch the girl's attention and spoke loudly, "Are these things yours?" He eyed the Pokémon with disgust as Snivy climbed up onto his shoulder, looking proud to be part of Hain's Pokémon team.
Hain got closer to the red-head, before pulling out his Pokédex and quickly examined the two mud-covered creatures. A Ralts and Deerling, how exotic. But still, it didn't matter what Pokémon it was, it mattered how it thought and how obedient it was. "Why do you let them get so filthy, do you not have any respect for yourself?" he spat, Snivy letting out what was almost like laughter. "Do you see my Snivy acting like a wild Pokémon? No." Hain continued, eye's glaring at the girl from behind his glasses.
Snivy had stood tall at the mention of his name, a great feeling filling him as he knew he trainer was proud of him. He tried to look back at the other Pokémon, but felt sick. They probably did whatever they wished without consulted their trainer as well. "I'll tell you what; let's have a battle so I can see just how..." He took a second to figure out the right word "...Interesting, your Pokémon are." It was more a command than a suggestion as Hain was not use to anyone not doing what he said. Nix felt her skin crawl as she heard a male voice behind her and she heard Tain give a loud bark of anger and nix turned back to see a rather annoyed looking boy. Her eyes narrowed on the grass type sitting on his shoulder and she crossed her arms quickly ,"I'm sorry to say that my boys like having fun ,and tommy started something that Tain had to finish" she said in a clipped voice before she gave a Low whistle.
Tain lifted his head and looked at his trainer Before standing up out of the mud and walking over to nix's side and then nix looked down at him out the side of her eye and smiled. He took a step forwards and nix dropped her hand to her belt and took off a pokeball from her belt and ran her finger over the top of it, as nixs smile grew in to a grin ,Tain shook himself and sent mud flying everywhere as nix turned on her heel and picked up her coat from the tree behind her and pulled it over her.
She felt impact on the coat and then she dropped it and flicked it out and laughed loudly ,Tain stood in front of her looking very clean and pink and nix sniggered and then dropped his pokeball back to her belt as he walked over to her. "don't be rude about me or my team mates kiddo, we get even very well" she said with a laugh. The other boy seemed to have caught the most of tains mud, nix then dropped her coat back over the tree branch and walked past the other boy and made sure to brush up against his less muddy side and then she bent over and picked up phantom from the mud and then she flicked a bit of mud from his head before hugging him close to her and Walking past the boy again and then stopping nix to Tain and dropping a now clean phantom on to his back and then lifting her hands up and brushing the mud from her t-shirt. "Done messing with us?" she said in a low voice before she lowered her free hand down and rested it on tains head as she flicked another bit of mud off her shirt and in the boys direction

Did she honestly think her Pokémon should be allowed to have fun? There'd never learn about responsibility and how to respect their trainer. He couldn't resist but laugh at the girl's response, giving the Pokémon nicknames as if they were children or even Human. It was then that the Deerling walked to his trainer, covered in mud and began to shake, causing it to spray in multiple direction. Quite a bit hit Hain on his Jacket, causing him to wince at the filth. The grass Pokémon stepped forward, "Sniv!" He Hissed. How dare that filthy creature do that to his trainer. But before he could do anything Hain muttered "Not yet..."
He didn't say anything about the mud, trying to sweep it from his jacket delicately. Trying not to anger himself and keep his cool he ignored the fact she called him 'kiddo' and told him what to do. This girl had nerve, something Hain couldn't stand on someone like her. With a smirk, Snivy began to look at the Deerling while snarling a little. Hain on the other hand was waiting for the girl to answer about his battle request, yet after brushing past him and picked up the little Ralts, she didn't say anything of it. But she placed the small Pokémon on her other, as if they were friends. She was definitely a trainer who cared for her Pokémon more than she should do.
After a little bit she flicked more mud from her shirt, this time impacting with trouser leg. That was the final straw, he looked down to Snivy who had seemed to get as angry as his Trainer. This stupid little girl hadn't said anything about a battle, so Hain would simply take that as her being a coward, but wouldn't let her get away with that. "Now's the time; Leer, then Magical Leaf." He muttered to his Pokémon, who began to glare at the Deerling. His eyes were largely intimidating, and it was a great move to help lower his opponent's defense before attacking.
Without warning the Snivy ran to the side and flipped around, sending a few multi-colored leafs at the Deerling from his glowing tail. This was a great move that the Pokémon knew as it followed the enemy around until it hit. Glad that his Snivy had attacked this girl's Pokémon, Hain couldn't help but give a little chuckle under his breath. No one would talk to him as she did and not have the pay the price.

Nix saw Tain rear back and nix gave an angry hiss and then curled her hands in to fists and she narrowed her eyes. "you are a coward, you are a loose tempered coward" nix hissed before she reached forwards and picked up phantom and then she felt him struggle against her and she nodded her head. She bent down slowly and dropped him on the floor and he took a step forwards and nix curled her hand in to a fist again.
"Tain can't battle alone, as much as we love him and hate you I can't see things going well if I let him tackle your little grass rat and he hits you seeing as it's on your shoulder" she said with a hiss in her voice and then she narrowed her eyes and took a step back so she was standing behind her boys and they stood beside each other in front of her ,"got a second pokemon that you don't care about? Set for a two and two?" she hissed before looking at the snivy on the boys shoulder ,"you should want to please him to be happy short stuff, it should be the other way around" she said slightly softer behind Tain gave a small murmur to tell her not to bother. Nix gave a small and honestly sad sigh for the little leaf pokemon and then clicked her tongue, "I know Tain, but all we can do it try" she said in a small voice to her team mate ,"get 'um tommy" she said with a purr in her voice and phantom pressed his hands together and a dark purple shadow shot out from under him and smashed in to the other boys sholder and knocked him back a bit and knocked the snivy down from it's perch
*erm, Tain only has one attack so I can't actually use him to battle...I can only do a 2v2 as a battle..*

Fine, that just means more power on his end. Yet, before he could do anything the Ralts from before had used a shadow like attack, knocking Snivy over and leaving Hain to take a bit of the hit. Pulling the other red and white sphere from his belt he let the Rufflet out, who had been watching the battle. He squawked and flew in front of his trainer, where the Snivy joined him. "Well played." Hain said, smirking. He brushed off a little dust from his shoulder and stared at the two opponents, thinking of the best attacks to use.
He knew that Ralts was a Psychic type and would be weak to a Dark attack. Then the Deerling was a Grass Pokémon, meaning any flying attack would do some good damage. Great, he thought looking at both his Pokémon. "Snivy, Pursuit on that hideous Ralts." Snivy began to charge at the Psychic Pokémon, ready to use it's attacks. "You, Rufflet, Peck that deer-thing." He didn't have any enthusiasm in his voice, but the Pokémon flew at the Deerling, beak ready to impact on the grass type and cause double the amount of damage just like the Pursuit would.
Hain was always like this, analyzing his enemy to see what would effect them worse. He pulled out his notepad, ready to write anything on them to see how they moved and attack so he could use it against them and defeated the girl's team that much easier. He watched as both his Pokémon got closer to their targets, ready to lay down their attacks then back off quickly, before they would try to attack.

Nix was not a dumb girl and while she had no massively powerful moves on either of the others, she had tactics and those would help her and her side win. "boys, switch" she called out with a laugh as the bird time came heading down towards Tain ,"Tommy use shadow sneak and direct it towards something solid" she called out as her eyes flicked towards the snivy, it was already closer to Tain and nix felt her smirk deepen and grow darker ,"Tain, why don't you use tackle mate, and blast it the same as tommy" she said in a sweet voice and then she have a dark and rather evil sounding laugh
Both of her boys nodded their heads and as phantom pressed his hands together ,Tain ran forwards with his head down. The snivy and rufflet had been covering land too quickly so her side switch had come in handy and nix smiled as her plan worked ,"my boys are brilliant, and due to far too much training together, the are in time with each other perfectly" nix said with a sneer as tain gave a bellow and phantom nodded his head. Phantom flicked his heads forwards and a bubble of shadow shot out from him as the rufflet came close enough for nix to reach it, phantoms eyes narrowed and he shifted his postion and nix smiled as she followed his eyes ,he was watching the bird pokemon but now he had the attack lined up to blast the bird and sent it slamming back into a fallen tree. Tain had already adjusted himself and was running faster and faster, his head was only a little away from the snivy now and nix could see the dark purple coming up from the grass rat and she could see the light building up as the rufflet came down.
These moves were going to hit very hard ,"and just to say, I admire your rufflet but a snivy? That just becomes a bigger and bigger grass worm, but it is cute now, I'll say that much" she said with a wink in the other boys direction ,"but my boys, they'll fight to win because they know I'll be happy with them no matter what happens ,your two will only battle because they are stairs of losing by your side, while mine are happy either way as long as they know they have done me proud" she said with purr of venom in her voice, she was not letting this bully feel good about this battle if it killed her

*oh, Tain is using tackle on the snivy and tommy is using shadow sneak on the rufflet, both are lined up to use the power from the moves to blast their opponent into the trees behind them for extra impact. Yours were still coming closer and were about to land the moves when i left off, your attacks haven't hit as mine and yours will hit at the same time and it will be a very hard hit too.
I left it open to you to decide if The moves hit and if your pokemon are blasted into the trees as planned, and can we pm all other questions, this is untidy*

Yet, Hain's opponent's had swapped places, meaning the more effective moves were not going to be as powerful as he hoped. Cussing under his breathe, the boy watched as the four Pokémon's attacks all went to hit at the same time. There was a quick moment when Hain questioned his victory. He'd underestimated this girl, but how could her Pokémon be so good in battle when she trained them like this. But the thoughts stopped as all the Pokémon's attacks seemed to hit at once. A sudden bang catching his eye as a lot seemed to happened at once.
Snivy and the Deerling both seemed to not badly effected, slightly grazed and standing their ground. Yet, the Rufflet had be hit badly and smashed into a tree from behind. Hain was far too frustrated with what had happened to see how the little Ralts had been effective, instead he shouted at his bird Pokémon. "Get up, don't let them hit your like that again, Peck, and this time, hit the right Pokémon." His words were hard to speak as he watched the Rufflet fly back at the Deerling. Snivy on the other hand knew what was coming and therefore headed toward where the Ralts was, getting ready to attack with whatever move his trainer suggested that he used.
"Snivy, Magical leaf." Without hesitation he shouted, and Snivy did so. His tail glowing with colors and multiple leafs flung at the Ralts. There was no way it could dodge this attack, as it would follow the Pokémon around. Hain gave a smirk and answered the girl's previous words. "You see, Snivy is a great companion, and is good with speed. His tail," Hain pointed to his Snivy, who's tail was still glowing from the attack, "collectes sunlight to power him up and increase his speed. A great Pokémon and hard to come across."
His words spat at Nix, proud of his Snivy. He looked at the Rufflet who was flying at the Deerling, Beak ready to smash into it. He didn't honestly care for the pain on the eagle for it his own fault. The Pokémon had allowed the Deerling to swap with the Ralts and deserved a punishment, yet it seemed his opponent had saved Hain time and done it themselves.

Nix bite down on her lower lip as the move tackle merely sent the snivy sliding back a little and not quite working as well as she wanted. Phantom on the other hand had worked his move well and sent the pesky rufflet blasting back in to a nearby fallen oak. Nix nodded her head and then smiled as a plan formed in it after the male uttered his new plan ,"that's his ability? Well fail for you, its the same as tains" she called out with a laugh
As the sun shone down sure enough the snivy moved faster but nix was smart and has an idea to counter the speed of the little grass rat. "tommy, run to Tain and jump onto his back. Then use confusion and tain make with the tackle again, but stay in the sun" she called out as she watched Tain nod his head very sharply and quickly. The rufflet came back with the same move again and nix nodded her head as phantom ran away from the magical leaf heading for him and jumped on to his partners back, the leaves followed him and grazed against both nixs boys. But the move was less powerful seeing as it hit both of them and then seeing as Tain was a grass type anyway. Phantom turned his head forwards and winced a little in the after shock of pain from the attack but he pressed his hands together as Tain broke in to a run.
Tain ran right towards the rufflet heading for him and phantoms hands began to glow purple for a moment and then he snapped his eyes open and flicked is wrists up and a wall of purple shot forwards over tains head and towards the rufflet. Phantom grabbed on to tains back as the deerling used his ability to it's full power and ran forwards so fast that he began to blur before nixs eyes and he was soon just behind the wall of purple that was all heading for the rufflet. Two moves, one right after the other, and work on more move as soon as you can, don't let the enemy recover, that was what nix was working on now

He heard the girl mock what his Snivy could do, yet she had made one little error. He couldn't help but smirk while trying to hold back a laugh. "Silly child. It's not Snivy's ability, that's just what they do! Now, if you want to know what his ability is... I could kindly show you." He waved a hand to the grass snake, who had watched him speak. The grass type grined, and began to glow a faint green, his Overgrow ability now coming into play.
Rufflet didn't seem to be doing as well as Hain had hoped. The bird's attacks were not even hitting, and now both Pokémon were ganging up on him. Hain would have demanded this stopped, but that would simply make him look weak in front of the silly girl. Instead he watched as both attacks came in toward him and quickly shouted "Fly up, then hit them with fury attack from behind!" Seconds before the attacks were about to hit, the Rufflet flew up, the confusion just skimming his lower back. From there he swooped back down, ready to hit the Ralts from behind. Seeing as the Deerling had been going so fast, it was unlikely they'd be able to turn around on time to counter this attack. There was no way this girl was going to try and use speed against Hain and his team.
The Snivy had been building up his energy, allowing his grass type moves to cause more damage. From there he used the only move that was a grass type anyway; Magical leaf again. "Use it on that little shit, the psychic type." Hain couldn't help but swear as he shouted the words. Snivy aimed this at the Ralts as the Rufflet did his attack. If this girl wanted to do a two on one, so would Hain. There was no way he'd let her get away with that one. So the bird Pokémon flew at the Ralts on the Deerling's back, as Snivy magical leaf flew straight at it. Hain knew his Rufflet was using a close-up move, meaning any attack the girl planned next would have a hard impact, meaning the Pokémon may not be able to handle too much more.

Nix watched the odds of the battle change against her and her eyes lite up with both anger and a small but growing idea ,"you know over grow only works when the pokemons HP is down to a third ,right?" nix taunted as she thought of something and tried to build it in to a plan. "tommy, twist the move to snivy" she called out and she watched phantom hold his hands up and while his eyes narrowed in concentration and she saw him wince the mix of shadow sneak and confusion blasted to onside and headed the snivy. The magical leaf blasted in to his sides his wrapped move blasted in to the grass type and nix gave a hiss of worry and anger and pain as she bit down too hard on her lip and the tang of blood hit her tongue "Tain, buck up" she said as a new idea shot in to her mind and was the dust cloud where phantom had been hit began to clear. The deerling pressed his hooves forwards sending more dust and mud in all directions and all around him as she saw the bird type smash in to his raised hooves. Both of the boys pokemons move had hit her team but they had both countered them, and while she was worried for her team neither move had been super effective ,plus now Tain and the rufflet here hidden in a dust cloud and phantom was standing up ,or just managing to atleast. "Tain, use tackle now while it can't see, tommy use confusion again" nix called out as the snivy righted itself and as blood dripped down nixs chin ,"we can do this boys, do it for jark" she said before pausing and reaching down to her belt and taking off her last pokeball and thinking to herself for a moment. TAIN USED TACKLED PHANTOM USED CONFUSION *I thought we both needed a nice powerful hit, so I did control those moves a little *
