In spite of his sometimes harsh words and joking behavior, he’s excellent at fitting that supporting niche if you need it. Traveling Unova to become a real-life superhero for pokemon, the boy will totally need someone around so he doesn’t fall into deep insanity. He’s best caught in a good mood (which is most of the time), when he’s being overdramatic and comical. His main downfall is his love for mocking and repartee, which he sometimes doesn’t notice. He’s actually neutral among illegal organizations. Barnaby enjoys sticking to his business, and not butting his head where it doesn’t belong (strange to think). In the same breath, it’s important to note that he’s totally empathetic with Pokémon and probably wouldn’t get along well with an abuser (or a group of 'em). ENEMIES. Aforementioned, abusers will not be tolerated. It actually pisses him off quite a bit. But many things do, honestly. He’s frank and brutal, but will tell you truth with a smile. This tends to get him in a bunch of sticky situations, and if you don’t like all that, then you belong here. Perhaps, this category should be split in two. Barnaby has had many a relationship where he fought and clawed at someone, but in truth, they were total friends. But as for ’archenemy’ types, any evil professors or scientists would fit nicely here. It mostly all comes down for his unusual admiration for the critters. Otherwise, he’d probably just be your sometimes bitchy friend. LOVER(S). Ooooh, yummy. This is where it gets steamy, ne? Well, young researchers aren’t immune to lovey-dovey emotions. Barnaby’s a bit of a cosmopolitan when it comes to that kind of stuff. He’s a pomosexual, which means he’s technically pansexual with a disregard for such titles. For him, it’s all about physical and emotional attraction. Being the complete opposite of a pushover, he tends to go for pushovers. He enjoys the idea of protecting and whatnot, but he also finds feisty people absolutely striking. Hence, he prefers a balance of those two things. If your character fits that, then go for it. OTHERS. On on-my-way, I want Barnaby to come across as something of a Pokemon Hippie & Scholar. If anyone is a researcher (wanna become a professor and whatnot), he's knowledgeable enough to keep up. I can see nix and your guy getting on really rather well, nix tends to distance herself from people for a long time as she's one of these people who believes in training her team up so they are strong enough to not be hurt, her team are her family and so they come first for her meaning she doesn't really talk to people a lot but when she does she tends to go over board and compensates for missing people. BUT ,I saw the two getting on because of the neutral outlook on things, both of them have ideals and view so won't stand for **** from others but they both only work on their own ends, they don't take sides. So I can see something working there...

exactly, exactly, exactly! barnaby's (secretly) an orphan and has similar ties to his own pokemon. hence, i see them appreciating each other's respect for the little guys (and sometimes big guys). And sure, Barnaby has a neutral outlook in the spectrum of Criminal Teams and the sort, but when it comes down to his ideals, he's almost obsessive about being a hero. Not too creepily, but he has big goals. Should they meet, he'd be all sorts of jokes, flirts, emotions, theatrics, etc.

I can see a very nice battle and relationship growing between these guys, given a while nixie may even come to really like your guy, as long as she lets herself. She has issues with trusting herself to crush/love want to get a to with the 2 of them running?
