Bored so I'm walking (Devan)

Devan laughed as he watched Dusk tag Phantom and run off. Looking back to Nix he said "Yup I was born here in Unova, Icirrus city to be exact." As he listened to her story he felt bad for her, having to run away from home and everything. He was curious as to why she would want to do this but didn't want to push her to explain it or make her uncomfortable so he left it there. "Hmm. So thats how you met Phantom. I met Dusk in an abandoned house." He smiled as he pulled up the memory in his mind. "I remember i've always been infatuated with Ghost pokemon, just found them cool for some reason, so when it came time for me to get a pokemon, naturally thats what kind I wanted. I snuck out of the house one night and went to an old abandoned house outside of town, it was the place kids would get dared to go to but they'd all chicken out because everyone thought it was haunted. I went there searching for a ghost pokemon and found Dusk, or rather, she found me. I was on the second floor after having searched for about half and hour when the floorboards under me collasped, guess they weren't used to having any weight on them. I fell through the 2nd floor and the impact on the 1st cause it to cave in as well. I plummeted all the way to the basement and it was pitch black, couldn't see a thing. Thats when Dusk came, instead of scaring me, she saw I was already scared and using the flame on the top of her head as a guiding light, helped me get out of the basement and back home. I was very grateful to her and she seemed to have an attachment to me to so I offered her one of my pokeballs and she touched it, getting captured by it. We've been friends and partners ever since." He smiled at Dusk as he saw her laughing and playing then laughed himself. "The broken rib and sprained wrist I got in the process were so worth it."

[Nix Night]

Nix smiled and then laughed a little at her new friends story ,"so your first ever pokemon and partner saved you and mine stalked me across 5 cities and a couple of towns and then chased me on to a boat" she said with a snigger before shadow wagged her tail around on her back and nix rolled her eyes and nodded.

"shadow wants me to tell you about her and how she joined the team" she said and shadow mewed loudly in agreement at her words. "I came across shadow as an egg, she was small and dark colored egg and people have said before that small eggs don't hatch a strong pokemon or even a live one for that matter" she said and shadow flicked her tail about sharply at nixs words. "I picked her small but interesting egg and took it up the path way only a little before tripping over a large hole in the path way and my newly bought egg rolled away from me and I panicked, running to find my tiny egg I found it smashed in two against a rock. I bent over to look at the egg or rather is remained and something jumped on to my back and wrapped around my neck and shadow has been up there or in my arms ever since" she said before laughing out loud and shadow mewed softly on her shoulder and nix smiled at her

Devan smiled. "Yes it seems we both deviated from the usual path. And it is good you had faith like that, had you not, you might not have ever met her." He glanced at Shadow with a grin. "Why dont we each just take turns telling about one of our pokemon. Its my turn now so i'll go with Shadow. She was actually my second pokemon. I'd been searching for 2 weeks, trying to find one of the pokemon on my capture list, when I discovered her. She started out hiding from me but was scared out by the rustling of another pokemon. Dusk and I battled her and soon after captured her as the second edition to our team. Unfortunately she was scared of us at first, especially me. Wouldn't even go near us, eventually though with a little temptation food and soothing words we got to interact with her and after she realized we were just trying to be friendly and weren't going to hurt her she started to warm up towards us and we became good friends. She's still a little shy around other people sometimes though but were working on that to. It was such a relief when she finally decided to trust us. I was worried she'd be afraid of us forever."

[Nix Night]

Nix smiled at the second story and then shrugged her shoulders and sent shadow forwards and in to her waiting arms, shadow mewed up at her to tell her that she had been rude and she should have warned her that she was going to so something like that. Nix laughed lightly at her before dropping her head and rubbing it against shadows forehead and shadow mewed happily and nix grinned ,"I win" she said softly with a smirk

Nix rolled her eyes and then looked away from shadow and over to devan, "my other boys have smaller stories though, jark was one of two twin eggs and I choose him and while I was carrying the other egg to my shop he hatched out. I sold his brother on a few days later on, and jark became our third team member, tain was actually second on the team though, Tain spotted me and phantom playing and he came over and started to join in the game with him, after a few hours of gaming it grew dark and so I asked if he would care to join our team and he agreed. That's all their is to their stories really but we have entered a few competitions to hopefully get some more pokemon on our team but we'll see" she said with a small smile

Nix walked on a little bit more and then she spotted the pokemon, phantom was now leaning against a tree with Tain standing beside him with jark on his back. She could see them all panting and she smiled and looked back to devan ,"i think everyone is getting very tired, i think I may put my team away for a rest while we walk and then get them out later on when we've made camp and they can then play and what not while I work on food and such like" she said with a smile

After playing for so long, Dusk started to get tired. She noticed that the others looked tired as well and after seeing some of Nix's pokemon lay down came over to join them, floppping down on the ground and panting. Shadow came next, hovering down until she touched the ground then sitting still, breathing in and out deeply. Bandit was last, coming over with his ears drooping and taking deep breaths he sprawled out on his back, looking up at the beautiful sky.

Devan smiled and said "Same here. Bandit and I literally met right after I caught Shadow. He'd watched our battle then came up to examine me and then gave me his begging face, asking for food. I gave him a berry and asked him to join and after a little bit of talking with Dusk he happily joined us." Devan continued walking with her, closing his eyes and enjoying the cool breeze that was blowing and the warm sunshine. He looked over at the pokemon as Nix mentioned them and saw she was correct. Beside her's his own pokemon were laying down, to tired to play anymore.

*I was thinking, we could do a romance with devan and nix and then phantom and dusk that would give use some things to go on that could be fun*

Nix nodded at Devan's smaller story before she bent over and put shadow down on the ground and then shifted both hands to her belt and ran her fingers over the pouches there. Her fingers brushed the potions pouch and she felt her supplies knock against her and then the same over her pokeballs pouch, she smiled to herself as her fingers came over each of her pokemons personalised balls. Tains had a simple T with long vines and leaves branching off it ,jarks was a rain drop with a J in it's centre, phantoms had only basic tent on it with a P in it's centre and three crosses round the letter. She hand stopped over shadows and she plucked it from her belt as shadow herself looked up at nix with a smile and curled her tail around herself as she watched the other play or rather relax. shadow's ball had a ball of flames cut in to with a S in it's centre, it was nix's favourite ball of all the ones she had carved.

Shaking her head nix put shadows ball back on her belt and then took off tains and jarks before holding them up ,"you guys have a rest for a bit and we'll let you out later on so you can play again" she said as she pressed the buttons in the centre of the balls and the pokemon burst in red light and disappeared into their balls. She gently put the balls back on her belt before taking phantoms off as well and calling him back to his ball and looking fondly at it before placing that back on her belt too.

*Sounds good to me. ^^ When did you want to do the battle though?*

Devan noticed the way her pokeballs looked and whistled. "Wow. Thats pretty impressive. How did you do that?" He pulled 2 of his pokeballs out, the ones belonging to Shadow and Bandit, and pointed them at the duo "Time to take a rest guys." Shadow nodded and gave a little "Gastly" and Sentre looked up and waved bye to Nix, then the red light from the pokeballs enveloped them and they were stored back inside. Hooking them back to his belt he pulled out Dusks who looked up "Lit?" Devan smiled. "Yes you to buddy. Dont try to fake it I can see your tired." Dusk sighed and waved a hand. "Lit, lit." Devan pressed the button and the little pokemon was enveloped by the red light then went back to her pokeball like the others. He hooked her pokeball back to his belt and said "Take a nice long rest." He looked to Nix and smiled. "She can be a little stubborn sometimes." Looking around he continued "Soooo.....now what do you want to do? Go look at all the shops, try fishing in the pond, keep walking.....or I could go treat you to lunch and we could get to know each other a little more?" He smiled shyly as he said the last part and though it was barely noticable he blushed a little.

*I was thinking we walk up and find a camp site and make a camp then nix gets cooking and we have a battle after everyone eats*

Nix smiled at her teams pokeballs and then she sighed ,"I find that if I make each pokeball reflect the pokemon inside it then I can get closer to the pokemon ,generally I tend to have a pokemon join the team and then I spend three days learning about them and then I take out my knife and spend a week working on their own personal ball and then they notice how much I care and they see that they'll enjoy being part of the team" she explained in a long breath as devan put all his own pokemon away.

Shadow flicked her tail on her shoulder and mewed happliy at being the only pokemon still out and nix rolled her eyes and lifted a hand and flicked at her ears while she laughed. "I was thinking we could walk a little way up here and see if we could find somewhere to camp our for the night" nix said in answer to her friends question, "you'll have to excuse shadow being out, the two of use are almost like two halves of the same being and I know I hate being hidden away or feeling trapped and she's the same so she doesn't spend a lot of actually in her ball" nix said as shadow leaned over on nixs sholder. She pawed at a odd strand of hair that was sticking up towards her on devans head and nix laughed Loudly and then clamped her hand over her mouth as shadow leaned over further and tried to paw the little bit of hair back forwards his head but as it stuck back at her and she mewed in minor annoyance

*KK. Which pokemon we using?*

Devan nodded as she finished her story. "I can see that. Im not much of a carver though so I cant do that. Glad you found your own personal technique though." He looked up at the clowds moving slowly across the sky, listening to her talk about Shadow but still paying attention to the clouds. He shrugged. "Doesn't bother me." After that he zoned out for a bit, making shapes in the clouds. Hm, he thought to himself, so many shapes. Oh that one there looks like my Shadow! Though she is a gastly so I guess thats to be expected. That one looks like a musharna! Lets see what else I can find.....oh! Theres a big boat! And theres a fig tree! And theres- He got cut off as he felt a poking. At first he thought he imagined it and started to go back to cloud watching, trying to find the cloud he'd just lost, then he felt it again. "Hey whats with the-" He turned to look at Nix and Shadows paw slapped him on the nose as he moved. "Oh. Now I see." He backed up a step, smiling, and said "Thank you Shadow but I think i'd prefer you just point to it or something." He took one hand and brushed the hair back into place, looking at Shadow "Better?"

[Nix Night]

Nix lifted her hands to her mouth again as devan turned to see what was poking at his head and shadow slammed her paw down on his nose, she giggled behind her fingers as shadow flicked her tail around on her back and shadow mewed quickly to say sorry but nix could hear the laugh in her voice. He pressed the hair down against his head and shadow nodded her own before lifting her eyes to her own head ,"vvvvveee" she said with a slight sigh before flicking her tail up and nix nodded her head

"shadow has always had a tuft of odd fur on her head and one on her tail tip too, we both love it about her but she doesn't like others to have odd hairs as she feels looking odd is something only some people or pokemon can Actually carry off" nix explained as shadow nodded her head in agreement with nixs words.

Nix took a few more steps down the path way before dropping her hands in to her pockets of her dark black and baggy combats as shadow moved around on her aholders and back for a while. She soon settled against nixs head like normal and flicked her tail up so it was sitting on his other sholder and nix looked back at devan again ,"there's bit of flat land up here that I've used to camp on before, and a small steam nearby too which could be nice and handy for eveyone" she said with a smile before taking a couple more steps back

Devan smiled softly as he heard the laughter in Shadows voice and caught a little bit of Nix's giggle which she tried to hide. He whistled in mock astonishment. "A pokemon hair stylist eh? That’s both cool and amusing." He looked up at his hair and continued on "But yah I guess you might be right. I like my hair this way and I suppose only certain people," he looked at Shadow and said with emphasis "or pokemon," he turned to look ahead, putting his arms behind his head as he walked. "can pull it off." He looked over at the pair and smiled softly. Looking past them as they walked ahead he saw the flatland she had been talking about and smiled, running past her to get there first then spreading his arms wide and falling on the soft grass, looking up at the clouds. He laughed happily. "Ah this place is wonderful. I can see why you've come here before. I know my team will love it, especially the river. It’s been a while since we've got to go swimming. I remember last time was fun though. Bandit especially loved it, splashing around and getting his fur wet so that when everyone else got dry, he could shake himself and get us all wet again. Then we built a little fire and made some snacks, it was a really fun day. Shame that when we woke in the morning we got attacked by an angry group of Swoobats who apparently had claimed the territory and didn’t want any trespassers.

[Nix Night]

Nix laughed at her friends story before flicking a finger over tains pokeball, "we have had a fair few run ins with angry pokemon before but Tain is such a light sleeper, then he has all of us up and four very angry pokemon who have been woken up too early make very good attacks to see of any one who's annoyed about some one or thing in their territory" nix said with a smile as she remember phantom waking up one time and singled handily chasing off a whole group of patrat's by himself.

Nix saw her new friend sit down and she nodded her head to him before walking over to a near by tree and then reached inside a small hole in the wood, her fingers brushed a vine and she broke in to a grin. "did I mention? We camp here every other month, so we've left out Mark here" she said with a snigger as she pulled on the vine and a clump of vines and leaves all woven together dropped from the trees branches. Sticks dropped from inside it and dropped in to the ground and made a shelter in only moments and nix grinned at devans face ,"just make sure to poke the sticks in a little bit, some times they fall out at night and this landing on you is very odd to wake up to" she said with a wink and she leaned away from the tree and walked over to the closest stick pole and hit down hard on the top of hit with her hand

Devan was surprised indeed. After all, she pulled out an entire shelter from a hole in the tree. H he'd better remember what she said, he thought to himself, he sure didn't want to wake up to being buried under that. He doubted it would be very comfortable either. Still laying on his back he rolled onto his side, propping his head up with one arm. "Hey you said you camp here every month right? So then you dont travel around the rest of the Unova region? Wow you are seriously missing out. There are so many wonderful things to see and even more amazing pokemon and people to meet! Sure this place is nice but you can come back to it anytime and you can't get the full Unova experience by staying in just one town!" While he had been talking his eyes had taken on a magical little sparkle that inspired wonder and amazement. “For instance theres this swamps with a cave deep inside it and inside that cave is an underground stream that connects to a waterfall. It went so far down I couldn’t even see the bottom. And then one day when I went to this really cool and fun beach there were a bunch of Huntail and Gorbass. It was mating season for them and they’d all come there to find a mate, it was an amazing site to see!” He’d been staring at the clouds on his back again as he was talking and now turned his head toward her smiling. “You see what I mean?”

"excuse me, please make sure to listen to what I say if we're going to be Freinds" nix said in a half stern but half friendly voice. "I said every other month, we travel all over the regions all the time but there are good berry bushes and trees here so we come here when we can for a day or two and collect supplies before renting or borrowing a bird pokemon from someone and flying to where ever we we want to go" she said with a grin before walking around the shelters side to another pole stick and hammering down it down further in to the ground with her hand again.

Shadow hopped down from her shoulder and on to the surface of the leaves and vines that made the cover for the shelter before curling up and wrapping her tail around herself and settling down to sleep and nix looked around. She knew they would need fire wood and a few other things to live out the night comfortably so she shrugged off her back pack and let it drop down on to the ground floor and then looked at devan through the leaves ,"I'll get wood, you dig a fire pit" she said with a smile before shrugging of her long black leather coat as well and letting it drop onto the stick pole

*short but I'm off to bed and being yelled at again*

Devan sat up and smiled. He replied teasingly "Well excuse me. Im sorry for trying to tell you about all the wonderful things of Unova Mrs. Bitters." He winked at her then got up, looking at Shadow sleeping. "Have you ever tried to use her for a pillow? I bet that'd be a funny scene." He laughed a little and looked up at her next comment "Fire pit....yah I can do that." He got up, whistling a little tune, and started off towards the river to go look for some rocks to surround it. When he got to the bankside he took off his socks and shoes and rolled up his pants legs so none of his clothes would get wet or damaged. Stepping into the cool water he sighed, it felt so nice and soothing against his skin. "Ah thats nice. I have got to go swimming here before we leave. Oh well, back to the task at hand for now." He looked around, picking up a few good sized but smooth rocks and then carrying them to camp before making a second trip and bringing back some more. He continued this cycle until he had enough then retrieved his socks and shoes, putting them by the shelter since his feet were still wet, and used his hands to start to level and clear a part of the ground. When he was finished and he had a good sized clear space he took the rocks and set them around it to prevent the fire from escaping once it was built. After that he leaded back, looking at how he'd done. "I think that looks pretty good."
