Bored so I'm walking (Devan)

[Nix Night]

As devan walked away to the river side nix walked away herself, she ducked behind the tree that held her shelter up and then walked in to the knee high bushes and broke in to a run. She knew where she was heading and she knew who she was to see too ,she would get some sticks too but she was here to see them mostly.

She slowed to a walk as she heard something snap behind her before talking a step forwards and falling down a hole and muttering ,"you guys so did that on purpose" she muttered as she pulled her leg out of it and something jumped on her back. She reached her hands up and took the pokemon down as she heard a mew from behind her and the movement of small feet ,"vaaaaaapppp" came the call and nix broke in to a smile and twisted herself round.

Behind her was a vapereon, she had slightly darker coloured skin then normals of her kind but that was the reason she and nix had meet, beside her was her mate, a dark leafeon who's skin was more orange than yellow and he looked more like an autumn kind of creature. "oh guys!" nix said before holding her arms out and the two pokemon stepped aside and two small Eevee's came running at her and she laughed as they jumped in to her arms ,"hey flick, hey twich, you been good for mummy daddy?" she asked as they mewed against her chest

Devan checked the time on his phone and looked up at the sun, wondering what was taking Nix so long. To be sure it shouldn't take this long to find a couple of sticks. He sighed. Oh well, maybe she had something else she wanted to do while he was here. He looked back up at the sun and said "Well if she is going to be a while," he grinned "why not go for a swim to pass the time." Pulling his swim trunks out of his pack he quickly changes, leaving only his trunks on and the rest of his things folded neatly by his pack. He pulled out his pokeballs then, throwing them into the air as all his pokemon came out, Dusk, Shadow, Bandit, Rain, and Sparky, then caught them and put them inside his pack so they'd be safe. He smiled at them and said "Nix is doing something right now so," he leaned in for effect, "whose up for a swim while we wait?" They all sent up a cheerful cry, remembering their last swimming trip, and followed Devan to the river, instanty jumping in, Dusk and Sparky a little reluctant at first but soon joining in and swimming with the others. Devan floated on his back, lightly moving his feet to keep in the same spot. Sparky jumped onto his chest, shaking himself off and quickly wetting Devan who laughed. "Little rascal."

[Nix Night]

Nix hugged the two eevee boys to her chest and then dipped a hand in to her black combats pockets and took out a pecha berry for each of them and threw them over her shoulders and the little Eevee's both climbed up over her chest and then pushed off from her sholders before running to find their treats. "hey Missa" nix said before holding a hand out to the vaporeon and she stepped forwards and then sat down On her long blue tail and mewed a greeting to nix ,nix turned her head to look her her mate and dipped her head to him ,"hello to you to farn" she said and he mewed in happiness and being included

"shadow is back at my camp, she's sleeping currently but she's safe with a freind of mine" nix explained and the two adults nodded their heads before looking behind nix to see their sons both walking back over, each with a berry in their mouths. "so, you two are both 9 months now, getting bigger and bushier every day" nix said to the twins and both nodded their heads and waved their tails in the air to show how big and fluffed up they were. Flick accidentally brushed his own tail against his brothers and twitch mewed in anger saying his tail was better and then flick jumped at his brother and knocked him back and a play fight was next, nix rolled her eyes and then looked back at her old freinds ,"boys will be boys, as I know all too well after all" she said and Missa laughed at her words while farn rolled his Amber eyes at nix and Missa and then at his twin sons as well

Devan had switched from floating on top of the river to being nearly all the way submerged in its cool water. It was bliss. Only his face from the nose up wasn't submerhed. He closed his eyes, thinking about how lucky water pokemon were to get to stay in water like this soft often. He was just just starting to get into another thought when he got splashed and opened his eyes, now only sitting in the water, his waist being above it. He opened his mouth to ask what was going on when he got splashed again. Spitting out water, he heard his pokemon laughing and saw them all having a water fight, each trying to splash the other. Currently Rain was winning, being the only water pokemon gave her an advantage, then Sparky got her, the little Pichu was full of energy, posing a challenge to the current champion. They all laughed and continued going at it together. Devan watched them with a smile then laughed with them, happy at all the fun they were having and after a while when he got splashed again he said "Okay thats it. Time to show you guys whose the champion around here." He pulled both his arms back and angled his hands so the when he pushed the water it splashed all of them. They were all surprised for a moment then the entire group burst out laughing.

[Nix Night]

*can you just get sparky to use an electric move for me? I'm giving a reason to now*

Nix smiled at her old friend before nodding to herself and then standing up once again and bending over to dust off her knees and then she turned back to farn and missa, “I’m camping near by so if you want to come see shadow feel free to, but make sure to keep a careful watch on flick and twitch, you of all people know how much everyone wants them” nix warned and missa nodded her head before giving a small mew and her boys stopped fighting long enough to wave good bye to nix with a paw each.

Nix smiled at her little eevee family before turning again and walking back towards her and devan’s camp and she heard the sound of splashing, laughing to herself she didn’t looked where she was walking and tripped a rather angry Ducklett. Nix stood up again quickly and then tried to walk away from the nasty little thing but a it blasted a spray of water up at her and she coughed on it. Shadow heard her trainers coughs and lifted her head to see the bird pokemon attacking her trainer single handily and she gave a mew of anger before jumping out of the shelters top and then hitting the ground between the river and her trainer, she took a few steps forwards and hissed as she did so. Her fur was fluffing up as she move and nix could hear her coming but shadow was only level three and she couldn’t do this alone, “devan, little help here!” she called out as the bird pokemon came running at her trying to peck her skin hard enough to make it bleed

Devan and his crew had just decided to get out of the water for a bit to dry off and see if Nix was anywhere around when they heard her calling. It sounded like she was in trouble or something so Devan got up, running over to where he'd heard the yelling. "Come on guys! We have to go see whats wrong!" His pokemon followed quickly after him, Sparky was the closest with all the energy he had. Devan arrived to see Nix being pecked and attacked by what looked to be a particurly angry Ducklett. His other pokemon were still a little behind but sparky was here, jumping up to his shoulder with an angry expression. Nobody messed with Sparky's friends! Devan knew Pichu's attacked could be a little unpredictable at times but he had to help as soon as possible so he decided it would be best to use Sparky. "Go Sparky! Use Thundershock!" The little pichu propelled himself forward and into the air then used the move his trainer had commanded him to. "Chuuuuuu!" Sparky closed his eyes and concentrated and the thundershock flew out, hitting the Ducklett. Being part water type, it should have done a bit of damage. Unfortunately for Devan and the rest of his team, they were still dripping wet as one of the stray bolts of electricity hit them as a group just as the other members of Devans team arrived, shocking them all. Most of Devans pokemon collasped after that, Devan himself managed to stay standing but look fried and kinda dizzy. "I dont think i'll ever get used to that..."

[Nix Night]

Nix heard Devan leave the water and then she heard shadow mew and panic struck her hard in the chest, she gave yelp of pain as the water bird snapped at her but she stood up and ran towards shadow. She could see the bolt of yellow heading right for her and with a second thought she jumped over her little eevee and then gave a cry of pain as the move hit her chest and she was sent blasting backwards in to a nearby oak tree.

Shadow saw the move coming from her and gave a whine of shock and fear and curled up in a ball and she heard her soothe bell ring against her as she did so and then she heard the cry of pain coming from nix, she lifted her head up to see nix slam back in to a large tree and she gave a mew of fear for her trainer. Nix was too important to her to be hurt too bad now, she cared too much about her friend to lose her.

The moment shadow thought of her friendship between her and nix something happened, the bell around her neck turned to dust and she felt her fur go warm and looked down at her paws to see them glowing in a light blue light, “eeevv?” she said in a shocked voice as he fur began to change colour. Her ears felt heavier and her paws felt bigger and she looked down to see her paws were now black, she felt her whole body get warmed and warmed until the heat went away. She tried to flick her tail but it felt heavy so she settled for twitching her ears which felt kind of nice now, “breee” she said and then froze as she listened to her own voice

SHADOW EVOLVED FROM EEVEE TO UMBREON

Devans team got up slowly, one after the other after the electric shock. Each one looking a bit battered and dizzy from the shock. Devan looked at the Ducklett to see it flying away, apparently thinking it had done enough damage and not wanting to face all of them together as a team. Now that he knew the threat was gone, Devan immediatly ran over to Nix, checking for injuries and to make sure she was alright. He looked at Rain and said "Rain come here for a second I need you!" Rain was still a little dizzy but after a moment came over, throwing a little salute. "Panpour, pan." Devan knew Rain soaked up water and stored it in the piece on its head which was why he needed her. He replied to her "Rain I need you to get a little water and sprinkle it on Nixs face, help her stay away. Dusk!" Dusk looked over and said "Lit?" Devan continued, now knowing he had his partners full attention "I need you to go get my canteen from my bag and fill it up with fresh water then bring it back. "Lit, Litwick!" With that Litwick flew off, being the ghost pokemon she was, and went to fetch the canteen and bring it back. After that Devan went back to looking at and treating Nix's injuries. Luckily there was nothing particurly serious. No broken bones it seems. "Well you going to be scratched up and bruised a little but you should be fine. Bandit, could you go find me an oran berry? There must be one around here somewhere." Bandit nodded his head and gave him a "Sen!" before bouncing off on his tail. Devan nodded back and turned back to Nix, giving her a soft smile as he said "If you'll look at Shadow Nix, I think you'll see something that makes all this worth it though."

[Nix Night]

Nix lifted her Head weakly and lifted her hand to her mouth, there was blood dripping from her lip and as she ran her hand over her head she felt move blood on the back of her head too. devan came over in moments and nix turned to look at him and tried to tell him to go away and that she could deal with it and didn't need his fuss but her mouth wouldn't move to obey her.

She rolled her eyes and the boy issued comands to his team of pokemon and then found herself happy none of her boys were out because they would be panicking over her and she knew it. Smiling a little she felt words in her mouth and she turned her head to face devan ,"fussy" she said with what power she had before laughing at him as he spoke again.

She nodded her head at his words and found herself thinking she would look at her pokemon if he moved to one side and let her but she knew he wouldn't even if she could ask so she didn't bother. She leaned to one side and hissed in pain before pointing a hand to her bruised ribs and then giving a half hearted smile as she saw a very upset looking umbreon. Her heart leapt and she felt heat rush through her limbs and she formed one more single word ,"SHADOW!" she called out with glee in her voice and the umbreon lifted her head and then beamed up at her and rocked forwards on to her paws and ran over to her trainers side and mewed

Devan snorted as she called him fussy but didn't reply. He was now using water from Rain and a cloth he'd sent her to get after Nix woke up to clean the blood and dirt off of her, being as gentle as he could when wiping off her cuts and bruises. He smiled as Nix saw Shadow and lit up like a firework. This was a moment the pair would never forget. he gave it a minute then said "Sorry to break up this truly touching moment but no moving. You still need medical attention and your not moving till you get it. And dont complain or i'll work even slower." He smiled then went back to it. Soon Dusk and Bandit came back, Dusk with a canteen full of freshh water and Bandit with three good looking oran berries. He smiled at the duo and said "Thanks guys. You've been a big help. Sparky?" Sparky was feeling kind of bad, having caused all this, and walked over holding his head down. Devan smiled softly at the little pichu and rubbed his head fondly. "It wasn't your fault buddy. Now come on and you can help me out. Can you do that for me buddy?" Sparky nuzzled Devans hand then nodded. "Chu!" Devan grinned "Okay now can you use your tail to cut these berries into smaller slices? It would be a big help." The little pokemon nodded and started cutting up the three oran berries until there were 9 smaller pieces. Devan scratched him softly under the chin and said "Good job buddy." Turning back to Nix he held up the opened canteen and one of the oran berry slices. "Okay now open your mouth. And remember what I said about complaining."

[Nix Night]

Nix frowned at the other boy before firmly shutting her mouth and then looking over at shadow with a small smile. Shadow rolled her now bright red eyes before walking to the board where the berries were sitting and had been cut and lifting her paws up bit to gently push the other pokemon away from it before pressing her paws down on the bits of food, they all were crushed in to a paste in only moments and then shadow nodded her head and looked up at nix with a grin and nix frowned again. "betrayal" she muttered and shadow laughed before twitching her ears and then turning around and looking for the little pichu again.

Shadow soon spotted him and then walked over to him and lifted a paw and now due to her growth in size ,she tapped it down on his head before laughing quietly. She looked down at him before flicking her now dark tail and she smiled, the end of it was still a bit odd and there was still a small tuft of odd hair on her head too. She hadn't really changed much.

Nix rolled her eyes at her only female pokemon and then thought of something ,she had been hit by a pokemon move that could take out a fair few of their kind, so why didn't she have any damage from that. All her current damage was just from blasting back in to the tree, didn't she have any burns or anything? Then she realised that devan was too much of a gentlemen to have really checked because he hadn't noticed her bruised ribs, meaning she could have electric burns over her chest, but she would have to check that later on

Sparky looked up at Shadow, amazed and astounded at her new height and appearance. He jumped onto her back saying "Wow! Shadow you got lots bigger! How'd you do that? So cool!" Dusk heard the little pichus question and came over to explain. "She evolved Sparky." Sparky tilted his head to the side confused. "Evolved? Whats that?" Dusk continued "When a pokemon reaches a certain requirement or gets a certain item they evolve into another pokemon. Some pokemon need to gain in levels, others need stones and special items, and still others need to have their emotions increased and changed to evolve." Sparky replied "Wow! Thats so cool! Seems kinda complicated though." Dusk smiled. "Thats why we have trainers to help us evolve and understand it all." They both laughed cheerfully.

Devan was glad Nix didn't try and complain about it when he gave her the oran berries and water and that he got them into her. He smiled "See? That wasn't so bad." He checked her over once more in all the places he could without being rude and nodded. “Well I’ve done all I can by myself. We should probably take you to a doctor or something to get your injuries looked at and make sure your okay.” He looked her over worryingly. “Can you walk okay or…?” He supposed he could carry her but he didn’t think she’d react very well to that if he said it out loud so he just left it as an unspoken question.

[Nix Night]

"if you dare suggest carrying me or helping me move I swear I will make sure to bite you" nix said in a snap as devan spoke to her about getting her to a doctor ,"just let me swim for a bit and then lax up and I'll be fine, I just need the blood to dissolve and the muscles to relax and I'll be fine" she said. The first part was more for devans benefit while the second was more for herself.

She leaned up a little bit and then looked around before clicking her tongue and shadow lifted her head and twitched her new black ears before walking over to her trainer slowly. Because of her new change she wasn't used to walking yet so she walked slowly and merely twitched her tail from side to side rather than flicking it as she had done before she evolved, but she liked twitting her ears ,that felt nice.

She walked over to nixs side and nix rested a hand on her back and she pushed down on her back and wobbled to her legs, mewing slightly as she helped nix forwards the pair took a few steps forwards and over to the river before nix Balanced herself out and stood up herself. She took step forwards and then nodded to herself before looking back over her shoulder at devan ,"cough, swimming, hint, cough" she said with a snigger as she winked a shadow who ran over to her back pack and attempted to try to pull the top of it and open it up

*pokemon can talk to each other and humans can talk to each other but pokemon and humans can't talk to each other. They pokemon understand us and humans can guess at what pokemon mean but that's it*

*My pokemon didn't talk to their trainer though. Do you mean the part about stones and stuff? I just assumed they'd have a general knowledge about that. Plus I was a little brain dead at the moment. ^^"*

Devan smiled and laughed. "You wouldn't really bite me.....right?" When she got up and wobbly walked along with Shadow to the river he was always a step behind her just in case she fell. Even if she did bite him it couldn't hurt any worse than Sparky's thundershock. He still wasn’t sure how a swim would make her feel better but he guessed she knew what she was doing….at least he hoped she did. “Are you sure you can swim in this condition? No offense its just….im a little worried about you.” He smiled shyly. When she coughed he said “Oh! Of course, of course. My apologies.” After that he brought over her bag, opening it for her and setting it down next to her in easy reach. He blushed slightly and said “I’ll wait over there, so you can um….you know….change and all. Tell me when your uh, finished and all.”Walking off he went a little ways into the woods until he was sure he was far enough away that it wouldn’t be rude or intruding then sat down to look at the surrounding trees. Then he thought of something. His pokemon would probably sit there and watch not knowing any better which would probably be kinda weird and awkward. He yelled from behind the tree “Guys you all come over here as well!” His pokemon trotted over to sit with him, Sparky he had to grab out of a bush since the little pichu couldn’t find him and they all settled down somewhere. Shadow floating beside him, Dusk on his shoulder, Sparky and Rain in his lap, and Bandit situated on his head.

[Nix Night]

Nix smiled as devan walked over to shadow and opened the bag for her before bringing it over to nixs side, "i will be fine thank you very much, don't go doubting me" she said with a smile bit something in her was happy that he was worried about her, it showed he cared. Shadow mewed quietly and nix smiled at her ,"I know you were but he was faster" she said and shadow mewed again and nix sniggered. As he walked away again nix leaned forwards and let herself drop the ground ground beside the river and shadow walked over to her back before sitting down and leaning against her trainer, nix smiled weakly before reaching to her back pack and rummaging around in it for a moment before pulling out a dark purple swimsuit that had legs and she grinned. "shadow keep watch" she said with a grin before she pulled of her dark grey t-shirt and then her combats and shoved them in to her bag.

She changed quickly to save devan time sitting in the dark of the trees and as she pulled the sides of her costume on she gave a whistle and shadow mewed loudly beside her and then they both looked at each other and smiled. "your allowed out now, but you could have left the girls here, girls understand things that you men dont" nix called out with a laugh in her voice before she pushed off on the side of the bank and let herself drop on to the water and then she folded her arms over her head and and dropped right below it's surface in one fluid motion before snapping her bright eyes open under the water and smiling to herself

*what I meant was pokemon can use words with each other and humans can do the same but English words between a human and a pokemon is a no, pichu should have spoken in his own pokemon language when he and devan were talking about evolution as a whole*
